I would say go with Quicktime. Just provide a link to the player download. Honestly I am not sure you can create a broadcast using just Windows Media Player. You need Windows Media Encoder + Windows Server.
On a related note. I briefly provided some support to a India-based site. Which provides video in Real, Quciktime & Windows Media. 75% choose to view in Windows Media.
MCE has been very reliable for me. If you are into programming you can isolate the source of the crash in just a couple of minutes. Load the mini dump into Windbg and look at the stack to find out what specifically causes the crash.
I think the reviewer is totally unqualified to review MCE. As expected of Slashdot, it picked up this idiotic review which makes a Microsoft product look bad.
BTW, You can create a scheduled task to call 'SetSuspendState' function to put your machine to sleep at night.
Your time-limited DVD playback software has probably expired. Media Player by itself will not display 'license is invalid' message for normal DVD playback.
You just need to buy a new DVD decoder. NVidia PureVideo Decoder or WinDVD are some of the best around.
The article is refering to the fact that currently Digital Cable Subscribers using set top boxes from companies like Comcast etc. don't get instant channel change. My TV can also change channels instantly for OTA transmissions but for MPEG2 compressed digital channels there is a noticeable lag.
The 9 million here are people who use MSN dialup service (like AOL). It doesn't count people who use hotmail, MSN Messenger, MSN Spaces, MSNBC or other services.
I was posting under the impression that you needed help with your site to add PNGs. Turns out you didn't need help you just wanted to 'argue'. I pride in writing crossbrowser complaint code. My code works in all browsers regardless of OS. I have come across all sort of wrong implementations in different browsers.
Yes I am ignorant because I don't go around writing comments like Apple needs a kick in their balls for their incorrect implemention of eventhadlers on whitespaces or that Mozilla devs give us shit because Regex sometimes fails in Mozilla and you need to execute code in a loop for it work properly.

You can mark yourself as 'Appear offline' in MSN Messenger.
Even offline messages are available.

MAME front-ends are also available for MCE.
You don't need an extra MCE machine.
Games, Weather, Phone etc. are also avaiable on MCE.
That must PCs with x286 processors.
Star Wars Episode III : Revenge of the Sith was processed on
just a 140-processor Opteron AMD64 farm running Windows 64-bit beta.

Using the same math Google has 0 subscribers.

I don't see anything very dramatically different/innovative with Halo2's casing.
Microsoft like IBM has never sued anyone for patent infringement.
The only patent suits filed by Microsoft are countersuits.
I like the way MSNBC implemented RSS.
You can get RSS for just about any topic.
Some 1000+ RSS feeds. Just goto any Section for RSS its auto links.
You must new new here.
To think Slashdot will correct a title that projects Microsoft -vely. Dream on.
Funny thing is Monad is not even present in Vista beta 1!!!
How the hell this virus writers execute it on Vista B1 is a mystery to me.
