I find this so annoying that Skype refuses to start when SoftICE is installed on the system. There are so many debuggers out there that it doesn't react to so why dis SoftICE?
There are ongoing rumours that the PS3 is especially difficult to develop software on since the architecture is complicated and different. Developing games are said to be extremely costly because of that and I've seen users complaining that for example the Orange box is a lot buggier on the PS3 than on the Xbox360.
If that's the case Sony should do everything they can to encourage software development on their consoles and provide tools for people so that they learn how to fully implement the hardware.
What if I partake in a physically intense activity such as running, spinning, biking or weightlifting burning maybe 1000 - 1500 calories in one session, which I do occasionally? Then I NEED all that fat because my stomach is not capable of digesting enough calories from other food types since it can only take so much. Fat contains 9 kcal/g whereas other sources such as carbs and protein only contain 4 kcal/g. So there wouldn't be enough room in the stomach to refill that if I stuck to low-fat food.
In the end does it really matter what types of calories one takes in? Usually it is when one eats too much of it the problems arise.
I can't wait to get my hands on a Netbook based on Intels latest Itanium2 cores. Then I could do many cool things on it.
The Itanium architecture is an architecture developed for 64-bit computing without the burden of backwards compatibility with the older I386 instruction set.
When I decide whether or not I should watch a movie I have found that the performance at the BoxOffice is a much more reliable indicator of whether or not the movie is worth seeing. Money talks and surveys are frequently submitted by the fans, i.e. the population surveyed is biased.
The movie "Children of men" is a good example. Look it up in IMDB and you'll see that it is in the top 250. Look at the BoxOffice and you'll see that it flopped. And it is a really bad movie.
So I think that the game industry is overestimating the reliability of the surveys and instead should use their sales figures as measurements of how well the games they produce are perceived in the public.
I would want to get a remake of the Monkey Island concept where they scrap the cartoonish style and make it more like "The Pirates of the Caribbean" which is just the way they were in Monkey 1 and 2.
I know some guys at a company who does planning for installations in buildings (such as ventilation, water, sewage, etc). When the deadline for a project is negotiated it usually goes like this:
[boss] How much time do you need for this project?
[employee] I think this will require a little more than a week...
[boss] Alright, I give you two days.
Something that prevents me from switching over to Opera is the FireFox addon called NoScript. I want to be in control of what scripts (such as flash and javascript) are being run in my browser. Many big sites are cluttered with those applets and swf's bringing down the perfornance and I'm happy to block 'em all out as this both cranks up the protection of my privacy a notch, gets a lot faster and a little less memory hungry.
Opera features what they call widgets (http://widgets.opera.com) which are claimed to be tantamount to FireFox addons but there is no such thing such as NoScript or FoxyProxy.
Something I didn't like about the Monkey Island series was that they cartoonized/caricaturized the characters on the games that came after Monkey Island 2. In the originals the faces looked "real" and on M3 and on they became cartoonish. And by looking at the trailers of the "reboot" they are going to continue with this concept, so don't have too high expectations if any.
I imagine that these devices are quite expensive. A shotgun and a few rocks would prolly take them all down in no-time. Then it would take the pigs a year to get funding from the dole/govment for new units. Some gasoline and a few matches could be handy just to make sure that they get fubar.
If they released a RAZR phone with Android I would buy it for sure. I think this phone is ugly, but that's my opinion.

What about Intel's Itanium2 chips?

I think I'm gonna get one!!! I'll paint it pink and use it for sending love letters.

I'll send them a big batch of gums, perhaps that will make them change their minds!
I'm waiting in anticipation that they will announce that they will resume the development of the game.
