That's sad that it's the end of the Sega-produced game era
Well it's not really the end of Sega-produced games. They now produce games for all the other platforms which used to be their competitors. For instance, they make Sonic games for Nintendo systems.
Anyway, if they want benefits, all they have to do is apply to immigrate here in the first place. This country does allow people to come in legally too. They just want to provide proof of who you are, no communicable diseases, not a terrorist, etc.
You really think it's that easy to immmigrate? That "etc." must cover a lot.
It's not just a joke. They essentially chose the location for their new facility in Dalles, Oregon because of it's cheap electricity. It's out in the middle of nowhere and fairly close to Bonneville Dam.
You'll get lots of replies about HDMI switches, and most will probably have links to overpriced switches. I've always found the best deals at monoprice. They've got some HDMI switches here.
Did you not read the grandparent post? He specifically said that Ogg Vorbis (as a specification) is public domain already. So when MP3 becomes public domain, it will be as open as Vorbis. As you said yourself, MP3 encoder/decoder implementations themselves will remain copyrighted. The spec will become public domain, as Vorbis already is.
"Assembled in China" if that means anything, but it can mean either one afaik.
Usually if it's manufactured in Taiwan it will say "Republic of China" and if it's done in the mainland it will say "China" or "People's Republic of China."
I don't think that's because of some people being blind while others aren't. It's more because it's just more noticeable on a 65" screen than on a 42" or 32" screen. The bigger the screen, the bigger the pixels, the easier it is to notice changes in resolution. With smaller screens you really have to sit pretty close to the screen in order to notice a difference between the higher resolutions.
I think you're getting confused between Fa Long Gong and Tai Chi(Ji). Fa Long Gong is the illegal "cult" and Tai Chi is a martial art that is practiced by Chinese all over the country. Practicing Fa Long Gong will certainly get you noticed quickly but practicing Tai Chi is perfectly normal anywhere in China, including in Tian An Men square.
True, you need good lenses if you want a good picture, but how many people would buy one without a good lens just because it said HD on it and the salesman said it was better than the other one?
While the current *BSDs may not have licensed the Unix trademark from the Open group, I think most would agree that for all intents and purposes *BSD is Unix. The pedigree of the *BSDs is certainly True Unix. Linux, sure, could easily be argued not to really be Unix but just Unix-like. But the *BSDs?

So now we've created Axlotl Hens? Next step, Axlotl tanks.
Where are these high-res (relatively speaking) images coming from, since the Wii only produces 480p?

Your claim that one of your news sources is Slashdot, but you haven't heard the background for this story?
Interesting.
It is a municipality that is at the same hierarchical level as a province.

NY Times story on it.

[blockquote]..And ofcourse, the reason to choose Wii over PS3. I mean, hey - who wouldn't? :)[/blockquote]
:)
Hilarious video.

I think you need to recalibrate your sarcasm detector.
When did 5 digit user ids become "low"? It's just recently that
And that's what happens when you forget to add a slash and use the preview button. :(
He is also working on breaking SHA1 and RSA encryption in a single processor instruction cycle.
Oh come on... That just makes him sound like a nutcase.
The summary says it's a small Oregon company, but the article says it's a Vermpont-based company. Probably this company. http://www.contoismusic.com/
Hadn't seen JabRef before... Looks pretty sweet, thanks! We'll see how it compares to emacs and vi for bibtex editing. :)

26" CRT HDTVs are pretty common. Small LCD HDTVs are also common. But yes, they are not marketed as much as their larger brethren.

It's saying that Apple will switch one of those specific product lines first, not the iMac or PowerMac lines.
