China has been doing a splendid job of self-promoting propaganda/public relations, for thousands of years every ruler who took power either by subterfuge or force has re-written history to legitimize their reign. So when I say that China has no history what I mean is that nothing in it's written records can be trusted as even remotely reliable.
Say that it's 7.7% than it's probably triple that, figure 25% as the actual figure, if you're retired like me and live in (very near to) Silicon Valley and drive around during the day you see waaay too many working age people out and about, makes me think of how it used to be twenty or thirty years ago when malls were empty during the work week, now they're full.
Take a bus, wear fitovers and a broad brimmed hat, grow a beard or shave it off, take the battery out of your cell phone, toast your gummermint issued ID's in the microwave long enough to fry the embedded RFID chips.
And aside from papers and software written, what do you mean by a "web life", facebook? are we talking about adults here or high school students? Would behaving like an adult count against you?
OS/2 is and has been for many years now a very useful and stable product (once you install the proper fixpacks) and find some software to run on it. I recommend StarOffice 5.1 and Opera.

Another reason to hire older admins, younger ones get bored easily and as a result commit more mischief, I remember the last few years I worked, it seemed that the younger people were always trying to find out how to bypass Squid to go look at porn sites, etc.
It just made my job harder and more annoying. Short attention spans and an inability to function without continuous entertainment seems to be a common failing among millennials.
Funny how people are nostalgic for LP's, I guess they don't remember the hiss, the skipping, stuck tracks, wear and tear and the fact that even dust affected the sound quality. I even remember 78's and steel needles that had to be replaced to protect the lacquer records (before HI-FI) like my mom's player when I was a kid.
