I work for a well known automotive company and as you all know, this industry has been pretty well battered during the recession. Auto companies have looked at all sorts of possibilities to reduce costs and mine has decided to move to Google and migrate away from Exchange, Sharepoint etc.
In times of financial troubles, companies look to alternatives but they need to be trusted known brands
So an article noting a working proof of concept of running a script by hovering over a link... and two links in the summary provided... is this the nerds russian roulette?:p
I think you may have missed by bit about 'great journalism'... I was implying that this bit of information was not necessary or at least could have been written better. If, as you say, Wang is the most common surname in China, wouldn't it have been better to include the first name?
one of the comments on the article is asking why it wasn't running Maemo but he researched his own question and found that it wasn't written for Intel hardware.
Unfortunately not so. I'm with Three and have a very cheap lifetime contract of 500min + 100texts for £10/month - only drawback is that I do not receive new phones. So I recently bought a Nokia phone as my old phone was feeling it's age and got myself a Nokia 5320 which is 3G compliant and when I put my sim in, it seemed to work fine. Except every so often i got the error "sim card registration failed" and lost connection for several minutes.
I called Three and they first gave me some nonsense that my phone may not be compatible and I pointed out that my phone is and gave them details and eventually after 20min on the phone, they finally said that they do not support my phone. Do you know which ones they do support? The ones they have in their store. You can only use Three sims in phones that Three sell/had sold... I'm pretty furious at them for this and seriously thinking about moving company once my contract comes to an end.
Instead; I tried asking real people what games they played, how well it played, and if online play was fun or just a button-twitch fest.
This is exactly why I prefer reading online so that I can see what normal players think about the game. I can filter through and just see the low scores and see what was complained about etc and can judge whether it's worth getting or not and the scores are updated dynamically whereas a printed magazine will only have the editors opinion and have to wait till the next publication to see if it's changed - but how often do you see a gaming magazine going back to previews reviews and commenting on it?
The only magazine I buy are tech magazines if I'm on a long train journey as it will have a wide variety of subjects, including games. I take this as an opportunity to look for things to search on the net when I'm back at home but I wouldn't normally pay for it if I'm at home.
Several times at work I've done what you've just said only to come in the next morning and find it hasn't shut down as there is an error warning on the screen and once I click 'OK', it carries on turning off at a snails pace... then i have to go through the startup!
lol, I thought you were giving a bit too much detail and bragging and then being/. I would have no doubt come up with some witty quip... thanks, spoilsport!:p
Counterstrike added ads last year too such as movie posters which annoyed a lot of us as it's not what we wanted and paid for. They should offer options if they want to include ads such as no adds or ads plus 50% of next purchase etc for existing gamers and two retail versions, one of which will be cheaper due to showing ads. That way people will pay for what they want and have nothing to complain for.
I'm surprised there isn't any laws about depriving a retailer of sales
Personally I see most copyright offenders making excuses justifying their actions rather like a social class fight, rising against 'the man'. I'm big enough to say that, if I were to pirate;), it would be because I am a cheapskate who could afford the items but chooses not to pay either because they're quite high values or because I'm just tight and as it's easy to do so, I would just do it.
For a second when I saw this article I thought that I was wrong and that there was a use for Achievments as why else would someone pay for a non-useful item!
I always assumed Achievements were for people in friendly competition with their friends who also have the game and something to brag about... but this is not something any sane person would pay for as it is
a) not a reflection of your abilities and hence possibly unrepeatable by you
b)if any of your mates found out, you'll just be ridiculed
and has anyone read the terms and conditions on either the Kindle, it's subscriptions or purchases from Amazon?
Can you tell me, putting all your worldly possessions at stake, that there isn't any clause or print saying that they cannot do this and is a major felony?
DRM may be bad, but people still buy it knowing what it is capable of and now that it has been shown, it will prove how many are actually worried or if it's just the tin-foil crowd.
as i'm trying to say... I have no qualms about a company requesting for an item back, giving reason and compensating... it was just a silly way that Amazon went and did it.
The original owner of the camcorder finds he has been burgled, he informs the relevant authority and finds that a warehouse company has sold it, in good faith, to a customer, not knowing that it was stolen goods. The warehouse attempts to retrieve the camcorder back.
How is that analogy for you?
Amazon may have been d!cks in how they did it without prior notice etc but I don't totally disagree with what they had to do
I'm just quickly browsing at work so don't have time to look it up... but can someone explain what the transactions allow in this game? Is it cosmetic alterations or do those that pay have an advantage over the rest via pay-only items, quests, zones etc?

If 'recall message' is anything like we have at work... you can just click 'no'!
wait, what? that wasn't an advert?!

A technology director, surnamed Wang, confirmed Tuesday that the software had been taken off most computers.
A fine example of great journalism... lemme guess, first name Suki-Ma?

In Europe, you can use any phone on any carrier.

because search engines provide you with answers to your question... so... erm... hence why you ask a question?

it's "for all intent and purpose"

And they can bring it up to date as Minesweeper:Modern Tactics and have chances of friendly fire!

If you buy a camcorder and later get told by the police it's stolen, will you refuse to hand it back?
can you imagine lectures with 70 students all clattering away on a keyboard? Plus diagrams aren't that quick to draw on the laptop as on paper.
thanks in advance
I find it more of a karmic balance after waves of anti-MS moddings as trolls and flaimbaits, even if it's just a disagreement to an opinion.
