You have clearly never tried to delete an FB account recently. You can delete your account without waiting weeks and you absolutely *will* get hounded by them.
Part of the process in trying to delete your account is to not log in for an extended period of time. Facebook has decided that if I tell them to delete my account I probably meant keel it active and keep nagging me to log back in. I have tried several times to delete my account but they refuse to actually delete it.
He isn't making it up. I tried to delete my account last year and had the same experience but worse. After not logging in for over a month one day I clicked on a link from a Google Search that was someone's FB account and I got automatically logged into my account that they were supposed to have deleted weeks earlier. There is basically no way to ever delete your account with the GUI following their instructions. I'm guessing if you contact customer support you *might* have better luck.
This is 100% in the spirit of the original Slashdot I assure you. The fact that you have no interest in such things suggest that you might prefer other news sources.
Unless you tried a known good Atheros chip based NIC of the same model and manufacturer you don't know if it was a driver issue or a hardware issue. Most of the times my drivers were "having issues" it turned out to be hardware issues. That obviously doesn't mean this isn't a driver issue either.
Your comment suggests that you have never seen any Linux / Unix configuration files but mistakenly thought you had a great troll. You got it backwards though. The lie that trolls try to sell it that they *aren't* human readable. Better luck next time!
That is really the problem with movies in general; they are always considering how humans perceive them. It is almost as if that were literally all that matters.
What are you going on about? Microsoft doesn't provide the compiler unless you decide to use theirs. No self respecting security expert would use Microsoft's compiler to build secure code. It's gcc or llvm, which are also open source.
You don't seem to understand how git works or any SCM tool works. It is trivially easy to see what has changed and look closely at those changes. So no they won't be "rotating" intentional flaws.
If my trust in Microsoft could be quantified it would be a large negative number. I trust the code however as it is available on github and I have zero doubt it will be reviewed by experts more qualified than anyone who works at Microsoft. Microsoft knows this as well and even they aren't so stupid as to chance getting caught trying anything unscrupulous in this case.
Kim Jong In mocked Trump with a huge envelope to poke fun at his tiny hands and then stated that they will still pursue nuclear capability but might open up a burger chain as a concession. The fact that you think there is now peace in Korea isn't surprising, since you have to be so slow as to not pick up on these things to support Trump almost by definition.
Luckily having your system compromised because you are too lazy to spend the minimal effort involved in learning how to use SELinux isn't inconvenient at all.
It is nothing like the Fitbit if it is actually accurate. I guess you missed the memo that their fitness tracking is (or at least was) highly inaccurate
I have contact entry titled "scumbags" which is set to send callers directly to voicemail. I answer unknown numbers if I am not otherwise occupied and when it is a scam / unsolicited sales call I just add them to the scumbags entry. I don't know how many times they call again but I *rarely* receive said calls anymore.
The constitution doesn't grant states power, it *limits* federal power.

Spoken like someone who knows how it *should* work with no idea how it actually *does* work.

I'm by afraid you know little about Yoga as well as having a weak understanding regarding what exactly does and does not qualify as meditation.
Hardwired does provide improved security, but if done correctly wireless can be almost as secure.
TCP/IP also has "zero security", but this isn't a problem because security happens at higher layers of the software communication stack.

That was awesome. Excellent concise explanation of US copyright!

I have done so many times. It is very easy to do if you actually put the effort into learning it, which again, takes minimal time and effort.
Somebody should invent USB keyboards!
Mmmm ... delicious negative Covfefee!

I don't get it ... why are you evening Slashdot if you are so technically clueless that you think that's the issue?
Fedora Linux can be installed on secure boot enabled systems, and IIRC there are a few others that do as well.
