"Google product manager Henry Bridge and engineering director Matt Papakipos say that Google's API will eventually converge with Mozilla's as the technology matures."
yep. because that's exactly how things have worked in the past.
making the class/hard enough/ for the grades to breakdown that way is admirable./Automatically/ assigning As to the top 10% etc. is not, and here's why: the same person could take that class two different semesters and give the exact same answers, write the exact same papers, etc. and get different grades, just because the one poor sap is in the class with a bunch of guys like me. Statistically, this effect may be negligible, but that doesn't mean it can't happen
Absolutely! I'm not religious, and neither is my girlfriend. If there were another option that granted the same legal status as marriage, we would choose that over the alternative in a second. Separation of church and state is dead. If I had my way, we'd have a "commitment ceremony," then file joint tax returns and if it was ever contested we'd fight it on the grounds of seperation of church and state (the government can't treat us differently because of our (lack of) religious beliefs - marriage being a religious ceremony). But alas... the decision is not mine alone to make (insert whip crack here)
I think you have a shaky grasp on the term immediate practical purpose. I'm fairly certain the GP meant that these solar powered race cars aren't going to finish their race and go straight into production for retail consumption
it's the Ballmer Peak. As funny as it is, it's also true; I've written some of my most brilliant code while intoxicated. Caffeine seems to have an opposite effect on me, though. Too much coffee and I'm too jittery and unfocused to get anything done
the "Beta" tag is still around for either of 2 reasons:
1) to denote the fact that the application may, at any time and without warning, change significantly. This seems likely, considering the features that have been added in the last 5 years. OR
2) Google is trying to change the world by reserving version 1.0 for a version that is as nearly feature-complete and bug-free as humanly possible. This is in contrast to certain OS and software vendors whose products require constant patches and updates just to scratch the surface of being secure.
nevermind. I see now that ansible is meant to fill in for "warp drive" technology. Therefor I revert to my stance of "I don't know enough about relativity."
I don't know enough about relativity to say that FTL won't always cause paradoxes. HOWEVER, I read the article you linked to and noticed that the paradox required instantaneous communication (not once, but twice). This in itself violates our working knowledge of the laws of physics

/sarcasm
something tells me that if you're running around patching at 9am, your 2am coding session was not as productive as you thought it was
no
man, VirtualBox gets more and more attractive by the day.
now they're naming it "PR Stunt"?
no

Linux can run on 79 year old hardware.
I'm more amazed that with XP running on it, the malware had enough resources to actually compromise the machine
my guess would be that whether it's genetic or hormonal, it's still not a choice, through the use of sarcasm.
yes. The autorun feature.

But I'm sure the college kids who think it's edgy to mock religion will give you a +5.
I'm pretty sure they now think it's edgy to mock people who mock religion, so you're good

I could personally care less if it never loses the "beta" tag
the capacity to care less implies that you do care (at least a little). Or did you mean to say that you couldn't care less?
a little bit of effort applied toward punctuation would have made this post 700% more readable
Are you suggesting there's something wrong with doing that?
...or that there is, in fact, another way?
