Each new Indian government seems to obsessed with showing the rest of the world that India is an advanced, leading-edge country. And every new Indian government neglects doing anything much about the conditions of more than 600 million (and growing) Indian citizens who lack access to such basic services as running water, electricity and sanitation. Really strange, and unfair to those unfortunate Indians.
With the current gear, enjoying VR makes you look like a complete dork. I suspect that, like in Brainstorm, until the equipment can be reduced to something much more discreet, only dorks and those who need it for professional reasons, will use it in public.
How else could I automatically log in to sites for comments, while making sure that the junk that that will elicit will end up in the black hole that is my Facebook account, which, otherwise, I couldn't care less about? I need my Facebook account as a trash dump.
Why a 0 score? This is a very sharp observation - naming this telescope after a bureaucrat who, regardless of how well or poorly he ran NASA during his tenure, contributed absolutely nothing to science, was PR mistake of humongous proportions, and an insult to the scores of people who, like Hubble, contributed over the centuries to the scientific progress in the areas where this telescope is expected to make a difference.
Other than that, there's not going to be much difference because by the '80s planes were just that good.
What has been touted as big passenger-visible advancements in commercial airlines in the last few years is slightly larger windows, slightly higher pressure in the cabin, and slightly higher moisture. That's it. As for safety, while it is true that airplanes are safer than they have ever been, the truth is that they were already extremely safe in the 70s.
The sad, depressing truth is that it takes exactly the same time to fly from London to San Francisco as it did fifty years ago. That's half a century ago. It is indeed cheaper than it used to be, but the experience is, if anything, more miserable than it has ever been. And, bearing in mind that the airline industry has become a race to the bottom in the last 10 to 15 years, the experience is going to become, if anything, worse.
I thought this was bound to be the most explosive device ever, and that Samsung was a company on fire, hell-bent on rekindling the market and searing the competition. I really was burning with anticipation.
What phone? The number that I gave, corresponding to a SIM card that I threw away years ago? I only use Fecebook (that's a more appropriate name for it) in my desktop, and in the way I described; I have no Fecebook app in my phone - they can't track me there. Fecebook does not have a phone number or email address associated with me that can reach me, for the email address I gave them is a garbage can one that I also never check. Apart from this, like I said, I haven't looked in my account for years, so any ad garbage that they try to foist upon me is a wasted effort. They know that somebody uses my account to visit a large variety of news sites every so often, but they can't tie down that activity back to me, personally, at least not with a major effort that is not worth their time. Even my IP address changes all the time. They sure can use all that info, but not to pester me in any way. But, at the very least, Fecebook is not useless.
That's what Facebook is good for. You use it to create accounts for sites in the web in which you want to make comments. All the resulting trash will go to your Facebook account. I haven't checked out mine in years, but I am sure that it must be brimming with garbage. Let the Facebook minions deal with that. You see? Facebook is good for something.
This is nothing but an incremental change that does not have much of a bearing on AI, trips to Mars and quantum computing. I.e. there are obstacles in the way to those goals that this particular innovation will contribute very, very little, maybe even nothing, to overcome. Finally, the required breakthroughs will not happen if we just sit back and wait.
I really pity you. What kind of cesspool are you guys forced to live in that forces your daughter to carry a gun for self-defense? I have lived in several countries, but have never, ever, lived in places anywhere nearly as dreadful as all that, even when I was a poor student. What kind of broken, dysfunctional Third World country are we talking about here? My heart goes to you and your misfortune.
For this will make sure that Linux in the desktop will continue to spin its wheels. Why is this a good thing? Because my XFCE linux desktop does all that I need, quickly and efficiently, and by virtue of the fact that, thanks to Gnome (and, to a lesser extent, KDE) Linux in the desktop will remain a non-entity, the bad guys will carry on neglecting it in their attacks. Thanks, Gnome people, for your invaluable contribution to make sure that the Linux desktop remains secure and safe.
Stephen Hawking was, without any doubt, a world-class physicist and one of the essential scientific figures of his generation. However, a new Einstein he was not. In fact, it can be argued that he may not even be among the top ten scientists of the last third of the 20th century. More specifically, one can easily make the point that Roger Penrose has been significantly more creative and scientifically influential than he was, and that Hawking was heavily indebted to him, and to his own lamentable condition. A great physicist is gone, but let's keep things in context.
With evidence like that, who can deny the truth? Seriously, this is just another one in the long series of videos of lights in the sky, that can be just about anything. Proof of ETs it ain't. Provide solid, irrefutable proof, not this nonsense.
A 15-minute, 4K 60-fps video sounds like a huge thing to upload, especially if Youtube will be doing some post-processing on it.

Why would one want to do that? No, seriously.
This is 90% moonshine, with 10% of substance. The language of business.
Just give Facebook a big middle finger. Or use it as a trash bin - it's good for that, as the ads go, by definition, straight to the trash bin.

You cannot make Windows more insecure.

So, if you are not into games, this does nothing for you?
What is it incapable of doing that you just can't do without?

Somebody is semi-literate here.
In what universe doubling 15,000 gets you 20,000?
With big updates from MS, you never know whether your PC will work afterwards.

So we can give him a few robocalls.
It's always been about reputation. The Information Age did not change that.
