"Saying you are allowed to do something because others did worse is a very bad excuse or motivation. It lead to torture and war. Even worse: To the continuance of wars."

I'm not saying it's right. I'm saying their is a clear judicial bias for these companies. If I installed remote software on thousands of machines the way Sony did I would be in jail. If I stole a CD from walmart not so much.

It's like marijuana laws, it's an unjust law, propagated through lies and deceit, a law which destroys lives and oppresses freedom. So I won't follow it. If a law isn't supported by the majority, in a democratic situation, then one can only be forced to ignore it, and point to government corruption and bias as to the lack of change.

My mother smokes pot for cancer, yet she does not have a card yet (though it's on it's way) by your definition she should be without medicine because it's technically illegal.

Sony installed remote software onto my computer, and I will never buy a TV, Movie Song or PS4 from them as long as I am a living consumer, that's my choice.

Seriously, I think quite the opposite. When the companies Mute peoples personal videos on youtube because they play copyrighted music. Or sue a 12 yr old for downloading mp3's. Up here in Canada I have been paying tax on CDR's despite not using them for actual music in probably 3 years. And then there is the extension of copyrighted material into infinite it seems.

Here is my take on it. If somebody is simply downloading or using copyrighted material for personal consumption then it should not be grounds for criminal action nor should it warrant the disconnection of what is considered a vital utility. On the other hand if you are PROFITING directly from distribution and SALE(Pirate Bay did neither) of copyrighted material then yes, you should be prosecuted, as you are stealing stem cells from the mouths of the starving media industry.

How can Sony honestly cry foul after installing DRM onto my machine without first acknowledging me? I think installing remote software on a machines is FAR more illegal then redistributing sound. I think this alienation of the people that actually fund these companies is only going to lead to more people going out of their way to ensure not a cent ever makes it back to the media companies in retaliation for the lies and broken homes caused by this futile war on progress.

I live in Northern Ontario so the nearest Crapple Store is 450km away. And I work for a different retailer that rhymes with horse, and the policy is pretty much the same, first year you deal with apple, after that you deal with the store (granted you pay for a PSP). The employees should have an obligation to inform people of this, I in particular make a point of noting that if the Ipod becomes apple sauce then you have to deal with Apple. That way I don't have some pissed off customer thinking I ripped them off with a service plan. They still buy the service plan because it is cheaper then Best Buys.

Ya the service plan was bought at Best Buy. I was not even dating the girl when it happened and used to work for them so I figured spending 38% of the unit cost on a service plan should warrant a new unit on the spot. The thing is defective why should she be out of a unit for weeks (months?). Clearly a money grab at both the retail and the distributor level. My big problem that was the manager lied to me about the policy which I called her out on and she weaseled into the background. Next time I go in there my phone will be recording everything. Bottom line both her and her sisters ipods have failed (scroll wheel is garbage, battery, freezing) that laptop she was gonna buy for 2 g's won't be coming from them, nor will anything ever again as long as she lives. I personally never liked Apple but couldn't relate as I never bought a product, but now I am convinced these guys are just as sleezy as anybody else.

    Good Day.

P.S ya that laptop she is buying it's a PC (HP TX2) I hope jobs dies and stock drops and Apple scuttles back into the pile of shit it was birthed.

2 days ago we tried to get a replacement on an Ipod 8gb Nano and despite having an extra 59$ service plan we were told we had to go through apple. Apple informed us that shipping was 39$ Canadian plus 10$ for insurance.

Apple seems to want to turn its back on it's customers, even if they are gods like Trent Reznor.

  18. cbc.ca/fifth on Disney-Hulu Deal Is Ominous For YouTube · · Score: 1

The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) is a publicly owned operation and thus has a obligation to make content available to all Canadians via T.V (Air) Cable (free) or the Internet. However the site is a bit of a mosaic of formats they stream and what exactly is available.

However, if you go to cbc.com/fifth you will get an ideal example of how things should be. Last 5-10 seasons made available without commercials, but also each episode has an area to get more information on the story at hand as well as giving feedback and communicating with others regarding that specific story. I usually opt for torrents as if I want to watch something it won't require me to waste bandwidth a second time. However I have watched every episode they offer online, and I am very happy with it (despite obvious quality issues compared to HD).

If it is done right and made less of a hassle then searching downloading (waiting) and making space for torrents, then yes they will get back some viewership.

Never underestimate the laziness of people.

Mercury Vapour? Are not a good bulb to use at any stage of growing. They are the 12$ ones that you find at home hardware. What you can do is take a ballast that was used in conjunction with a Mercury Vapour and it will fire up a Metal Halide giving off an ideal spectrum for vegatative growth. You can use this same ballast to power a HPS (High Pressure Sodium) only if it has the firing mechanism in it. This can be done by buying a switchable ballast or converting it manually by opening up the ballast and adding/removing the fire mechanism. A merc vapour/MH ballast is a typical ballast seen on street lamps and in grocery stores and can be bought fairly cheaply, the fire mechanism can be acquired for about 15$ to convert it to HPS.

Mercury Vapour should never be used to grow.

I'd rather stay in a country that doesn't demolition buildings at the expense of thousands of it's own citizens and hundreds of it's on firefighters. But as usual it is like talking to a wall trying to explain to an American that buildings can't just fall at the speed of gravity unless by demolition, and it is a proven physical impossibility that jet fuel can reach the heat necessary to melt steel.
