    But it does irritate me when people say hari-kari. I get that it's used in English a lot, but the original term is Hara-Kiri.

    Actually, the proper term is "seppuku". "Harakiri" is a word used by lower classes...

    I think that the shareholders might have this in mind anyway... Sony's next shareholder meeting is going to be interesting.

    No, the taxi drivers are arguing they can be the only ones to drive people to their destination and charge them for the ride.

    Not quite. In Detroit a church started running a free van to help people who couldn't afford a car. The free bus was shut down by the taxi commission. Taxi commissions, in general, are against anyone giving anyone else a ride who isn't a taxi driver.

    Don't pick up hitchhikers. The Taxi commission will come after you.

    It's always boggled my mind how a person can say that toilet-scrubbers don't deserve decent pay because they aren't necessarily 'valuable,' in the very next breath after saying "someone HAS to scrub the toilets."

    I know that's not what you were getting at, just making an observation.

    We can build a spaceship and load it up with all of the telephone sanitizes and marketing consultants and such then ship them off to another planet. What could possibly go wrong?

    You are better off screening out people that use MSIE to fill out their application, since that is actually correlated with poor job performance.

    Ah, that explains why I couldn't get that job that I applied for. The application page was IE only and changing the agent string on my browser didn't work.

    Aircraft carriers have a lot of weak spots. That's why they have an entire carrier fleet tagging along to keep anything from getting close enough to do any damage.

    I'm wondering this as well... there's reference to requests or demands, but absolutely no indication of what they are.

    I cannot for the life of me imagine what on earth an apparent terrorist organization would want from an entertainment company.

    Apparently there is an unreleased M. Night Shyamalan movie in Sony's archive and the terrorists plan to publish it.

    You don't even need to leave the U.S. to see this. Just compare an international site such as BBC News to the mainstream American press. Often a huge difference in how the same stories are covered.
