Programming is math, algorithms, nothing more. It's idiotic that you can patent an idea or algorithm. What's next, patenting + and - ? Or maybe Pi?
+ and -? No. Pi? No. A new algorithm for calculation of Pi? Perhaps. Not all software patents are bad but the bar is set WAY too low. At least 95% of all software patents should never have been granted.
Look, LightSquared. You should've just paid for actual spectrum you could use before. You acted like a cheap bastard and tried to use the wrong parts because it was cheaper, and then you cried when it didn't work.
You don't have to pay for spectrum, just pay for congressmen. It's much cheaper and more effective.
I'll bet that's what LightSquared are doing right now, behind the scenes.
At&T and Verizon beat you to it. There're isn't much if any spectrum left.
Perhaps, but they are currently billed against voice minutes separate from data. I'm saying a "data only" plan would both be more expensive than current data plans but you would get to pay for voice calls out of your data plan as well.
No man, you don't get it. It's a pork cycle. That means we should be buying stock in Harley Davidson.
That's a relief. I thought we were headed for the a-pork-alypse. In that case, in the words of the Late, Great, Freddie Mercury: "Get on your bikes and ride!"
What's impressive is that this got out of Sophos' testing lab and into production. I guess they must not test signatures in house at all. Congratulations, Sophos customers, you've been promoted to alpha testers.
Actually, it's an incredible show of honesty on the part of Sophos. Perhaps Symantec and McAfee will follow suit and flag their own software as malicious as well.
And you are willing to spend a butload of money on an upgrade that offers little if any increase in functionality and will most likely introduce new bugs that will have to be dealt with.

I hear them now! Oh no, the horror! .....
POLLINATE! POLLINATE!
Shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo make me realise we will just never understand the human brain.
Shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo make me think that the (average) human brain isn't that complicated after all.

voice calls are all routed through Skype
They're already routed through VOIP.

so you want to subsidize phone calls by overcharging on data...
how is that an improvement?
New phone model: 2GB cap at double the current data rate and voice calls are all routed through Skype.
God hates fags
Yes. Smoking can kill you.
Android has a walled garden but unlike Apple's there is a door labeled "Allow installation of non-market applications".
Anyone who drives hard and pushes people to give their best will be considered a jerk by those with lower standards.
That might work for Jobs, But from what I can tell Ellison is quite simply a world-class asshole.
brilliant business people are the opposite of productive. Jerk in any way shape or form is not needed in any business.
Tell that to Apple (Jobs) Oracle (Ellison) or dozens of other highly successful companies run by assholes.
Some of us like to play a game of Angry Birds between books.
Oh crap! We're already past Peak Pork!

I for one am looking forward to picking up a gummi-fed steak at the supermarket soon...
I'm going to name my nondescript cattle ranch after you. From now on it will be known as the Anonymous Cow Yard.
Who in their right mind would trust anything sensitive enough to require a 16 character password to Hotmail?

We have seen this effect, just not in regular solid matter; we can see it in certain configurations of regular matter, such as the Casimir effect.
Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been...
You have shattered my dream of playing Angry Birds foe a living.
Given sufficiently expensive legal team any prior art can be rendered irrelevant.
If I was taken to New Jersey I would explode too.
All of my music files sound like they were recorded by Alvin and the Chipmunks.
If Sharp goes under the may have to go to Samsung for displays. I'm sure they would do it but there will be an extra $1B charge tacked in somewhere...
