A 2nd piece of information that by agreement can never be stored, but can be used to permanently authorize a particular merchant. For example, the first time you purchased something from Amazon.com, you'd be required to enter your visa password through a visa-controlled interface. Afterwards, Amazon would be allowed to utilize your credit card. This would include recurring billing.
doesnt this already exist in the form of VbV and secure3d?? except in that case you have to enter it for each transaction, and it is used only for Indian sites, foreign sites do not ask for the password.
To see the passwords you need to enter the master password again, else the passwords can be used, but not revealed, so as soon as firefox is closed/crashes the passwords will be useless..
Perhaps you could look at business laptops, generally they only come with 1 or 2 stickers
1 for the Chipset/Processor other for the OS(If it was included)
and, removing the stickers on thinkpads is extremely easy, run Prime 95 + Furmark for 15-20 minutes, use TPFC to disable the fan. Soon the sticker area heats up enough that you can just peel it off with minimal residue..
And, its unlikely that a short burst of high temp's will damage the processor in any way
My mistake, that is only for 2-3 sites that use your FB id to store profile settings
However, the other sites seem to be taking the data with explicit permission from FB. See http://www.microsoftteched.in/ On the bottom right there is a FB app click on the privacy button in it, there is a 4-5 page long document, but since it is on facebook.com, I assume that it is only for selected partners, so it should be as safe as your data is on FB itself
Considering that many of the people who need to use an app to change their privacy settings and are on facebook will not be able to understand code. Example: so many people grant full profile access to apps just to view a video(and that app just spams the wall of their friends)
The base model is $3000, its only if you want the model with AC,Airbags, etc that you pay $6000

Isnt it more comparable to a multi user licence for a software product than "a free resource (copying digital bits)"
So, it removes bacteria, but what about viruses, dont they need UV or RO to be removed??

"if you copy from someone, then it is obvious when I'm quizzing you at the board to prove your assertions."
Not so, cause its much easier to see the solution and then figure out how it was derived, rather than doing the entire solution yourself
Take a look at the HP dv series, dont know about the new ones, byut a friend has a DV6000 and the entire palmrest is covered with stickers
Guess thats why business machines(Thinkpads,Latitudes) are free from the stickers

there will be Radeon stickers without the AMD branding on them as well, so no confusion..
If people do associate AMD with red and Intel with Blue, most probabply they do know the difference between the CPU and GPU
"cloud forest " something like "Cloud Computing" of the past??
Actually, if you are using encryption > 40 bits, you must deposit the key with the govt in an escrow account,
so yeah,"any encryption that is legal is encryption you cannot trust."

Read the 2nd para
Here, if anything is encrypted with >40bits of encryption, the key has to be deposited with the govt.
Not sure how much it is enforced though..
No, but the govt recently wanted to ban blackberry and nokia messaging for "Security risks"
and we pay 20USD for 256kbps, so USA is better off
Why Opt-in?
Why not disabled by default and not activable?
What's the tremendous benefit we'd be losing?
Free usage of websites (ad supported)
ASCII PORN...

Account->privacy settings->Apps and websites Disable "Instant Personalization Pilot Program"
What prevents these apps from keeping a copy of the info in their databases before changing the settings?
Slashdotters telecommute, so the only vehicle is the comp..
Also, $2.2 is not much lower than what entry level call center operators make
almost all of that can be accomplished using advanced search
