    Although one might argue as to what "superior" means, one would be in a very difficult position to argue that Linux is secure when compared to OpenBSD's proven security track record.

    And that - to me - is what superior is all about. Being able to run services and NOT GET HACKED!

    Or for the best that Lame 3.90.3 can put out, use the --alt-preset-* presets. I've been very happy with --alt-preset-standard. And yes, I intentionally use 3.90.3 and not the newer releases.

    Huh? Interesting? Why the hell would Windows corrupt the install? A USB flash drive is nothing more to Windows than just another data storage device. Does Windows regularly corrupt your Firefox install on the hard drive? (That's a rhetorical question - of course it doesn't. If it does, than you need to fix your installation of Windows.)

    Frugality would be not buying the soda in the first place, because you don't need it and water is freely available (and better for you, to boot).
    Wow, I wish I lived in your utopic world.

    Here in the United States, I pay my county a fee for water to my house. And here in Florida, my city has one of the nasty Superfund sites, so the water - which is NOT free - is NOT safe to drink.

    I can understand wanting to get away. Really I do.

    The guys I work with that are retired E6/E7 felt the same way. Then they realized a $20k difference in salary in my local market (YMMV) between non-clearance IT jobs and cleared IT jobs.

    I offer this. The things you dislike about being IN DOD disappear when you're a contractor TO DOD. :)

    Before you get debriefed, put out some feelers, check the market (as you probably have already considered...)

    If you have a security clearance, you'll find employers jumping to snap you up.

    In defense contractor circles, it takes less time to train a person with a clearance to do a job than to wait for a clearance for an experienced person who's not allowed in the facilities for lack of a clearance.

    You do have a security clearance, right?

    Because, you stupid twit (and I mean that in the nicest way) you fired the existing worker purely to hire someone else for a fraction of the salary.

    Not because person 'A' didn't do his work, or performed badly. But purely for profits.

    If you fire people without cause, there's no point in being loyal to an employer, as eventually they'll fire you. Get them before they get you!
