Once the encryption mechanism is broken homebrew development will be a reality.
I wouldn't hold my breath, especially if it appears to be a public key system. If that's the case, the weakness would likely be in other parts of the code. The math for public key systems is pretty solid.
I haven't seen anything about anyone running anything from a memory stick. The only thing that has been shown right now is how to redirect the web browser inside of Wipeout Pure to go to a different page, one that runs a web-IRC frontend. The other "hacks" are things to take texts and render them to a sequence of JPEGs that can be put on a memory stick to "read" the book by viewing the JPEG's in the PSP's JPEG viewer.
If the PSP can run programs off of the memory stick as far as I know, no one knows how to do it yet. My guess is that the likely solution will be exploiting a buffer overflow in saved game loading, similer to what has been done on the Xbox or GameCube.
Differently useful (I don't want to say just as good, since they're different things) would be a way to click and drag to get a distance between two points. Or a way to click to set a point for directions (instead of typing in an address). I have a feeling they're working on these things.
A first post with the words "frist psot" on slashdot modded +5 funny? That's impressive. I guess it's like that old saying, you can fool some of the moderators all of the time and all of the moderators some of the time... or something.
Strange choice of example. It says that men are easily corrupted by offers of trivial sexual favours. It doesn't say anything negative about women at all.
Doesn't it say that they're sluts who have no skills in IT and just give blowjobs to get promoted? Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I moved to Fedora Core (currently at 3) plus extra stuff from freshrpms and atrpms. apt has been ported to Debian, so you can use "apt-get update; apt-get upgrade; apt-get install whatever; et cetera". It really works well.
Clamshell design, 2MB RAM, 3MB ROM. Ran DOS 5.0 on an 8086 processor. Used flash memory cards. It was basically a predecessor to the PDA's, but it had a full keyboard and ran a full DOS OS. You could even run ordinary dos programs on it by just copying them over (though the display was non-VGA).
In order for a patent to be considered pending, it needs to be filed. Intent to file doesn't count. Their patent was filed in 2000 according to the link.
Since when is a motor with an offset weight on the end of it a "technology" anyway? This is just an example of the American courts using patent law to levy a tax on Japanese imports to subsidize failing, irrelevant American companies. It should be illegal.
The later models of Playstation 1 came with a Dual Shock controller. You could also buy a dual shock separately. That was before the Playstation 2 came out, and absolutely before these guys filed their patent.
All he said was that he was teaching himself to read Japanese. He did not say anything about building speaking, listening, or writing skills (which are all somewhat different).

I'm suprised that they haven't decided on the obvious solution, make people work longer hours.
Your post isn't insightful if you can't spell properly.
She had her contact list and amateur pr0n synced? Now that's hot.
How about if you stop criticising us for helping the enemies of our enemies?
But they wouldn't trademark the greek letter zeta, they would trademark the English (Latin Alphabet) transliteration, "Zeta".

I wonder how much the Longhorn upgrade will cost... I bet it will be more than $100.

As emasculating is defined as reducing or eliminating maleness, yes.
You mean "apt has been ported from Debian" don't you?
Yeah, of course.

I think he's a couple cans short of a six-pack.

Oh yeah, it would run for a week on two AA's.
OK. Don Knuth uses Emacs and FVWM on Linux. What does that tell you?
He's not into eye-candy window managers and he likes an editor that's programmable using a LISP variant?

No, but the design and mechanics of a game are patentable.
Patents are only good for what? 17 years? Scrabble has been around a lot longer than that.

5, Insightful my ass- you couldn't even be bothered to fully read/understand my post.
Don't feel too envious. The moderators probably didn't read his entire post either.
Oddworld Series
Don't forget the coal or natural gas burning power plant to create electricity to separate hydrogen from water.
Sounds like a rip-roaring time. A great party, I bet.
