It's unbelievable how far Firefox and Mozilla have fallen. They were doing so well and had 30+% market share, then completely blew it. Things like this screenshot debacle are so sad and preventable. They aren't even trying to be relevant or useful anymore.
I have a feeling that at some point soon they may change how this works to keep so many addons from breaking and lessen the burden on addon developers. However, I have to say that of the 23 addons I have installed, only 5 weren't already updated to work w/FF5 when it was released. Two more just updated today.
It's not that they're "outdated" exactly. The problem is that each addon has a file called install.rdf, which is an XML file where you define properties of the addon, like the addon's name, version #, author, type, etc. It has this section:
When you try to install an addon, it looks at the minVersion and maxVersion and if your FF version is outside of that it won't let you install it.
Therefore, whenever a new version of FF comes out, each addon developer has to update their install.rdf file and upload a new version. It's kind of a hassle for those of us who have made FF addons, especially with the new development cycle.
However, there is this page that's constantly updated and lists the valid version numbers. You can set your addon's maxVersion as far out as 7.0a1 right now, so in theory you wouldn't have to update it until 7.0a1 comes out.
Easy solution: stop bothering to make sites ie-compatible. Just forget about it. Then when users say they can't view a site, tell them they have to get a real browser. If web programmers just stop catering to ie users what are they gonna do? Fuck ie.
Even that is incorrect. The quote is from 1 Timothy 6:9-10
9People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
They used to have really interesting shows about science, technology, history, etc. (and fun stuff like Robotica & Junkyard Wars) but they also had this show called "A Wedding Story" and "A Baby Story" in the daytime. Someone at TLC decided that those shows they had in the daytime for women were the greatest things ever, and in the early 2000's they got rid of all the good shows they had in the evenings and made everything like their daytime programming.

Edge is under 2%. It is a huge waste of time to bother with it.
There is no point testing anything except Chrome and Safari. Everything else is under 10% market share. http://gs.statcounter.com/browser-market-share
Why do these companies waste their time dealing with Europe? Just block all access from European countries and be done with it.
You can't install ie9 on XP. It only works on Vista or newer...
What do you do that requires only command-line interaction?
There's actually a website dedicated to this exact topic of teaching computer science to kids: http://csunplugged.org/videos
"Co'bin! Co'bin Dallas! Cooobbbbiiiiiiinnn!"
a certain large search company said to only hire smart people also relies on MySQL for its critical infrastructure.
It seems to be working pretty well for them, don't you think?

Space: Above & Beyond was the best sci fi show ever!
http://www.mobygames.com/ already lets users document every game ever made, and it was around before wikipedia.
ie9 is only 59% compatible with HTML5/CSS3/modern javascript: http://www.caniuse.com

Assange is not a US citizen, and therefore does not have the freedoms granted by the US Constitution.
An IDE cable might not be so bad...
"The love of money" is the root of all evil.
Getting that particular quote right matters.

Place Space Battleship Yamato on standby. The Gamelons must be stopped!
So this is more like a Goblin Sky Raider than an Ornithopter.
The goblin word for "flying" is more accurately translated as "falling slowly"
I don't know where you get your numbers, but ie is only 60% of the web browser market:

Keep the puns flowing.
I'm sure you could find a jury in California that would agree with that.
