    What is the big selling point of linux?

    Why, you can run linux on any old hardware. Grab that old pentium II from the corner and fire it up.

    Game makers want to latest and greatest hardware for the best eye candy and performance.

    Running linux on old hardware just isn't going to give good performance.

    While linux users may hate to admit it, very few people are buying the absolute fastest hardware out there to run linux.

    And until they do, the gaming market of linux will remain very small.

    How long do you think it will take for Symantic, etc to file antitrust against microsoft. 6 months? 12 Months?

    Where do you think ms will get the AV scanner?

    Just like defrag came from symantec I am sure that the AV scanner will come from symantec also.

    Symantec is not stupid. They work with ms and license to ms whatever ms wants.

    It's the fact that airport (which is a fancy name for 802.11b/g) is much more expensive than what is available for PCs.

    It is also a different product.

    Airport can route a modem connection rather than just a ethernet like every other product.

    So with Airport you can share a dial-up connection wirelessly.

    Extra functionality , and from what I've seen, the only wireless router that can do this.

    are cheaper than linux boxes.

    At a purely head count level.

    To get a decent linux admin you are probably looking @ 50k a year or more.

    To get a win admin straight from IT Tech you are probably looking @ 35k a year.

    So it is cheaper.

    But what microsoft DOESN'T tell you is that you will need at least 5 of those admins compared to single one for linux.
