I don't know what you're all complaining about, that Vulcan chick has some nice breasts; though it looks like she's lost weight, and hence, breastage as of late. Hmmm. I wonder what Gene would think about that.
First solo flight around the world wearing a tutu. Next will be first solo flight around the world wearing a tutu while humming "Windy"... Who's walking down the streets of the city, smiling at every body she sees... yadda yadda
Then, first solo flight around the world while building a little ship inside a bottle......
It's like getting in shape for the Special Olympics. Really, if you're dumb, the SAT should reflect that. You should accept your lot, and work at WalMart. If you "cheat" by cramming for the SAT (and similar tests), you're only setting yourself up for disappointment later, as you and those around you will realize that you're really dumb. So, bite the bullet, go into the SAT as you are, and take what comes.
Well, you should, first of all, avoid submitting your accounting data files to them, so that they aren't added to the spyware signatures.
Of course, imagine the mayhem that would result if their Spyware Buddy 3000 software were the victim of a worm which goofed with the signatures such that all.doc,.xls,.mdb files were identified as BAD. Heh. Ehhh... In any case, it's a good idea to keep a good backup copy of your Really Important Full Year's Worth Of Accounting Data somewhere off of your hard drive... Say on a burned cd or something.
Really, the only way any software could damage data would be a) if it deleted it, b) if it took a data file, mangled it, and wrote over the original, or c) did something wacky to the hardware to cause drive/media damage. I truly cannot recall having data ever mangled by a bad piece of software. MS stuff is also pretty good about making backup copies of whatever, prompting the user for saving, deleting, etc.
I think this is a pretty safe bet on their part. So much so that they'd probably be safe upping the ante to like $50 or $100 or more.
Also, Opera has all sorts of nice stuff built-in, you don't have to dick around with installing extensions for stuff like mouse gestures, tabbed browsing, etc. And it includes an adequate email client, irc client, etc, etc, etc.
Opera truly is the cat's pajamas. I've purchased it for both win32 and Linux platforms.
FYI, the last actual install I did was 9.0... and I've been using swaret to update ever since. This is a good way to stay current without having to reinstall from scratch. Some people say there are problems with swaret, but I've never experienced any. I've got 2 slack machines I've been keeping updated this way, no problems at all; a thinkpad and a regular pc.
I believe that's a kernel issue; your kernel supports it or it doesn't. The other day, recompiling, I believe it was 2.6.10, I discovered that by default I had SATA support, though I didn't really want/need it.
At least 2 of the replies to this story use the incorrect word, then or than, where the other should be used. It's hard to take these comments seriously.
Here are some examples of the correct usage of then and than. Please make an effort to use the correct one in the future. Your poor grammar reflects on all of us.
I am smarter THAN you.
Back THEN, your mom was popular with the boys.
Bacon is tastier THAN cabbage.
If good grammar is hard, move to Russia THEN!
If you're grotesquely obese, THEN you're unlikely to fit into a thong.
Parent is correct. CV is a pretentious buzzword replacement for Resume. Used by the types of people who put periods in their phone numbers instead of dashes. If I ever advertised for resumes, and got one of these things, I would send it back with a note attached saying "We're not the Holy Frickin Roman Empire".

Hmmm. I seem to notice most Slashdot stories are recycled from blogs, so I submitted this about the Darth Tater - Darth Vader Mr. Potatohead, but it got rejected!!!
Anyhoo, here's a link to a picture on Yahoo LINK HERE
Yes, the FAX. That's my guess. While most/.'ers were in diapers during the 80's and 90's, those of us who were gainfully employed relied on the fax machine much like people rely on email today.
That, or WWW. I think the FAX machine should be on the list somewhere anyway.
they're smaller, so more... 80 Canadian hours = approx 67 Regular hours.

I find a lot of silliness here too, but I realize, I have to option to look for Britney Spears images on google, if I wish.
It's not like this is a government service mandated by the Constitution(tm).
A buck says this shows up as a Slashdot story within the next 72 hrs:

Go to www.boingboing.net or www.gizmodo.com, find something half-way interesting, and submit to Slashdot. Wait a few days, and it'll show up herre! :)

Really... Is there any reason to use XP over win2K? Besides the Fisher-Price interface?
It's really hard to be sure, but I could almost swear...
This reminds me of my 2 year old, saying RaR! like a lion.

Actually, my last actual install was 9.0, and I've updated to each subsequent version using swaret and setting it to update against "current"
For more info... go to swaret.sourceforge.net
But, I'll probably buy 10.1 just to do my part in helping Pat with his bills.

Coming out this spring, apparently.

I distinctly remember my parents buying our first microwave in the mid-70's.
