Think about it. When was the last time a well-known artist or author said "hey, I've made enough money on this work already, I'm going to release it into the public domain"?
Technically the gods killed the guy who said that they shouldn't trust the horse with snakes, and everyone else was afraid and hurled it in, so you can't really blame them.
Then use three states - open, half-open and closed, getting 59049 possibilities! You can even add the directions the palms are facing (toward you, sideways, away from you), getting up to 531441. Add three positions for how far away your hands are and get the holy grail, 4782969!
I don't see any of this "Apple is a great company" stuff at Slashdot. Most comments about it are actually complaining about DRM and the closed-source nature of Apple products. The only positive comments I ever see about it are comparing it to Windows.
Some guy wanted to mod you interesting but he accidentally scrolled down by a few before clicking (something I've done multiple times when modding - yes, the interface sucks)
I'm talking about morality, not legality here, stating that Microsoft should not ban console modders in this way. Of course what they're doing is legal, I just think it's wrong.
An application for a patent is an intent to have a patent and is thus morally equivalent (in terms of Microsoft, not the USPTO) to having the patent. A failed bank robbery is still a crime - the intent to rob a bank was there.
Congratulations, you just compared two completely divisions of Microsoft.
By that logic, no one should boycott the RIAA since the part that sells music and the part that sues people are two completely different divisions. Sorry, but the corporation is still responsible for all of its parts.
No, we simply believe in innocent before proven guilty, so the 99.9% (if it is that high) of people who modify to cheat do not justify banning the other 0.1%.
Given that IE (and even the words "internet" and "explorer") can mean things that have nothing to do with the internet, I think that figure is way biased in IE's favor.
Oh lord, do we have to bring out the copyright infringement is not theft brigade again?

John Carmack?
intentionally not paying attention (Which is a bit of oxymoron, but whatever.)
Willful blindness is an established legal principle, not an oxymoron.
Do millionaires trading houses and planes infringe on my rights in some way?
Why would this need to be recordable?
So when I pirate my movies, with no unskippable anything, I get a superior product? Did any of these people take a basic economics course?

Ouch... how do you even do that? The exhaust pipe?
I'm not sure that even Google can pass that requirement.

Well, this is Flash...
War on common sense? Isn't that like declaring war on Troy?
The Korean War, technically (gogo, almost 60 years now!)
And the computers will... fight in the shade?

"Go factorial" sounds better.

The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System
I think you made a typo on pretty much every one of your letters, but I fixed them all.
Administratored? I know it's cool to talk about the paper you "authored" and all, but this is getting ridiculous.
Those who would give up an instant chain of Score 4:Funny comments for factual accuracy deserve neither humor nor accuracy.

No, I thought it up myself, just as thousands of other people have before me and will after me.
