So well a surge could happen it would have to make it through a very high quality surve power bar and a UPS. So I'm not actually worried about it. The PSU's in all my computers are also super high quality, so if they did every blow ( which hasn't happened to me ) I would jsut prosue the manufacture because they're covered. For me none of the data is really so important that I'm going to take additional steps to be safe.

The second major issue is that he can't prove anything from the first chapter of the bible actually happened. In order to prove it he would have to throw out all evidence or scientific reasoning behind the big bang as well as all the proof of evolution and the million of fossil records. If he manages to get that far we should still be taxed with the overwhelming task of proving or at least demonstrating that the universe appeared out of nothing and at the EXACT same point and time the earth appeared full of animals.

He's put forth a game he can never win, he can never put together reasonable evidence to back his side up. In fact to disprove Genesis all you need to do is to prove that the earth didn't exist at the exact moment the universe came into existence. I would actually be willing to take this challenge on because in an attempt to prove a literal interpretation Genesis he'll actually be giving the evolutionists a hand!

I believe a higher power might exist but as for the bible, it's toilet paper.

I'm sick of hearing how video games are linked to violence. if your sick enough in the head to go a shoot a school then your going to do it regardless of if you play some james bond or battle field. Maybe instead of blaming the games you could blame everyone else who doesn't step in to help these sick assholes before they kill. I stopped reading after I read this:

First, I am getting really tired of websites that don't work on mobile platforms. How hard is it to pick up a tablet or phone and test your website on it before releasing it to the masses. It's the 21st century more people are likely to browser your website on a mobile device then a desktop so stop only creating websites for desktop browsers. More phones ad tablets don't need the mobile version either, most people do not test full desktop sites on a tablet which is why most of them don't work. My Nexus 10 has more pixels then MOST desktop workstations, fucking deal with it properly and stop formatting a website like I am using a VGA phone.

I never said I don't develop for mobile platforms, a mobile platform is still a web platform, the fact you didn't realize that is fine but it doesn't mean you can call me out for not targeting mobile devices.

Secondly, I do all development for free, I don't change for the web sites I create because frankly they're not meant for professional installations, if you take what I give you and you leave the scope I place on it then don't cry to me when it doesn't work.

So what I'm sick of is people who assume outside the box abstracts that make developers like me look bad. If you want a website to work on IE then hire a web developer who will build you a site that will work on IE, I don't promise that and I don't even tell you I'll do that. I make websites to fit the need of a need and not for the general public.

No, the kernel is responsible to either catching or responding to invalid requests or access. You need to handle them with out needing to restart the computer. In Linux / Unix think about how rare it is for the kernel to actually give up and need a restart of the computer, in fact it almost never happens, I've seen it maybe twice in 12 years. The blue screen really is giving up and just admitting your not good enough to deal with the issue at hand. For another spin of the same view, think about what would happen if an embedded system just gave up and quit and rebooted, most if not all of our devices in day to day life wouldn't work, the internet for one would be a brick if that happened. The blue screen is the lazy approach to OS programming.

Well multipurpose devices have certainly been on the rise it doesn't mean that single use devices still don't provide a better experience in that task they're mean't to complete. For instance my smart phone can also be a music player, camera, network share, wallet and a number of other things. Just because my smart phone can take pictures doesn't mean it's camera and therefore I still want a great camera for taking pictures. Just because my smart phone can be my music player doesn't mean it is, I can buy much better stand alone portable systems and so my smart phone doesn't need to fill that area.

My point is that just because everyone is obsessed with compression 10 devices into 1 doesn't mean we get 1 devices which can do 10 tasks. Really all you get in that case is 1 device which can 1 do one thing really well and 9 things rather poorly. In the way a smart phone isn't a good DLSR camera, that same camera could never be a great smart phone. So my tech heap has grown as instead of relying on a few devices to do everything rather poorly, I rely on 20 devices to do 20 things exceptionally well.

That isn't to say for the most people a smart phone can't be a camera, music play, easy bake oven and more but for me it can't be those things.
