  1. Very insightful indeed. You wonder why all Western countries except the USA have social security. Such dumbasses! Can't they see the USA is the best country in the world?

No. They just like to spend their money on that.

I have been using it since I can't remember how long and I think it's still the best email client for me out there. It has some very nifty features like "Throw all sent mail in the inbox" and "Put replies in the mailbox you sent them from" that you don't find in other email clients. Yes, it looks a bit strange and it doesn't get a lot of love at the moment, but it never crashes and does its job very well.

They didnâ(TM)t use location data from apps. Phones connect to telecommunication masts, so itâ(TM)s just a matter of counting the number of phones by analyzing how many are connected to the masts in a certain area

  8. I should have put the /s underneath my joke...

  9. Indeed, we're almost there.
On iOS you don't need a keyboard for video chat (FaceTime on iOS).

  10. Those people buy their products voluntarily. No need to get worked up about this. Just buy something else if you don't like Apple anymore.

  11. For people who miss Magsafe there is a solution.

  12. "Apple has lost their way. All they care about is branding and making money."

They haven't lost their way at all. They are very, very good at making money at the moment. Which is the only thing that really matters to companies. The thing is that their way is not your way.

  13. You're using it wrong.
No, really, a phone or even an iPad is not suitable for real work. You need a computer for that.
The question is: when can we connect a good screen and keyboard to a phone and use it like we use a PC now?

  14. All of them.

I have an early 2011 MBP. When that thing dies buying a new Apple MBP will be a big step backwards in usability and enjoyability. So I'm already paying more attention to Linux and laptops from other brands to get used to the fact that one day I will be forced to leave my beloved MacOS behind.

The same holds for my iPhone and iMac BTW.

  21. About two weeks ago I deleted my FB account. To be able to see if my data, which was proven long ago that FB keeps approximately forever, was stolen I need a FB account. What now?

I ended up checking if the email adress I used was powned at haveIbeenpwned.com.

  25. When I bought them they cost the same as your Asus. But while the Asus lasts about three years the Airports are still going strong at the ripe old age of 8 years. They are truly indestructible. So in this case Apple is not more expensive but better.

Airplay is around but you need to buy an expensive new amplifier to use it, instead of a wifi access point that you can connect to your existing amplifier from the early 1990s that is still working fine. Please prove me wrong on this one.

I doubt that the Mac Mini will stay around for long. If you want a small device that runs MacOS you need to build your own Hacintosh. Many people don't like that.

It's a pity that one of the richest companies on this planet seems to now focus only on the products that make the most money for them, while at the same time sitting on tens of billions of dollars.
