I can't believe that magnetic stimulation will have no side effects whatsoever, as they claim. I won't let anyone go near my head with such a thing until more is known about the influence and long-term effects of this technique, or I have no choice but to try it.
It's just a rewrite of the many many such articles you can easily find on the web if you look for them. Nothing new in the article. Why this is on/. I have no idea.
Yet another story about how adventure games are 'dead,' in a time when more adventure games are coming out each year than in the ten years or so after Sierra and Lucasarts stopped making them. Small, dedicated companies are doing a great job of keeping the genre alive, and there is so much on the market now that it's impossible to play all the games that appear.
Change is refreshing every now and then. In this case, the change is also an improvement IMHO. The site is much better readable, albeit a bit slow, and that sliding thingy on the top of a comments page is much better than the horrible thing they used to have on the left side of the page.
I hated the last layout with a passion. The horrible thingy on the left side where you could chose how many comments were hidden was so illogical and unclear. This is much much better. Kudos,/. team! I've been coming here since 1995 and I'm still not bored:)
You aren't taking into consideration the fact that people have been eating insects for millenia. There is a greater variety of commonly eaten insect species (1000+) than of commonly eaten mammal species (~10). In parts of the world with a history of eating insects, they are a delicacy. There is also a great variety of insect dishes, whether traditional Asian, Native American, or African dishes, and recent recipes created by modern chefs, mainly in Europe.
The problem now is that in cultures where insect eating is prevalent, rich people start eating meat because it is seen as 'hip' or 'cool' or what have you. That means more cows and more greenhouse gases.
Don't most of the newer TVs run Linux? My father's LG does. So it's entirely possible that the first real viruses for Linux will run on TVs rather than normal computers.
And you as a hardcore geek didn't think about having it tattood as a mirror image so you can read it in the mirror. That's a lot of minus points for you dude!;)
Facts are genderless. Interpretation isn't. I don't need interpretation of facts in Wikipedia aand I have never come across it.
Or try to say something bad about Apple! Man that'll get you lynched.
Good point. Nobody is complaining about the lack of male nurses either.
What about the euro?

Cars in your house, in the woods and in the lakes is what you mean, I guess.

Not if they don't have freakin' lasers attached to their heads.
So indeed basically nothing changes because I don't believe they moved from OO to Word.
Oh man, what a mistake! I apologize for misreading your post.
*bangs head against wall*
What the hell are you talking about? Obama is the best President you've had over there in a long long time and you don't even realize it.
People are omnivores. Not eating any meat is not healthy.

You're dead right. I see Twitter going down very soon after FaceBook. Mark my words.

I don't understand. Do you mean Obama is evil? If so, why? Or was Bush evil? And if so, why?
Foxit works better on Windows than Adobe Reader.
No, my tsa are some letters from my family name, don't worry :). I don't even live in America.
Aren't there laws against these practices?

They probably did that because it fit their Fahrenheits and their miles better.
