Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't live in Sweden anymore. I live in Dallas. And as for your "friend" I would be interested to see what "standard committee" he is on. If you do have a "friend" on a "standards committee" then he is just plain lying to you, because there is no such standards activity for what has been claimed here. And btw, yes this does have to do with the FCC. The Law Enforcement Agencies are working through the FCC to produce the standards.

Before you start spreading rumors, you may want to check your facts. Take a look at this link at the FCC's website concerning CALEA (Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) if you want to find out what is really going on.

There you go making weak arguments again. I never said that the camera crew would not affect the environment on the island. Your orignal post proclaimed that because there was a camera crew that things would not be challenging for the "survivors". Now you are saying that "really bad things will not happen to the "survivors" because of the camera crew. So, I still stand by my original reply which states that just because it won't be challenging for the crew doesn't mean it won't be challening for the "survivors".

As for your last line, it was nothing personal I just get annoyed when people make seamingly "logical" statements that really have no connections. If you took it personally, I'm sorry I offended you but maybe you'll thank me later when you have to write anything (for work or school) that requires clearly presented arguments.

Okay, take a minute to think about what you just typed... just because things will probably be fairly unchallenging for the camera crew does NOT imply that the same will be true for the "survivors". You have made a classic logical error in your argument, I suggest that you go back to school and enroll in a beginners Logic class. Perhaps then you will be able to come up with better arguments when you speak.

Did you read the risk factors that they present? They aren't planning on using the money to develop new products for the OS. The OS is their only product. From page 8 of the prospectus:

We have only one product that may never gain broad market acceptance.

BeOS is our only product and we will derive all our revenue for the foreseable future from sales of BeOS. To date, BeOS has been used primarily by a limited number of enthusiast and application developers...

They go on to say on page 9:

Our success depends upon availability of third party applications that operate on BeOS.

Demand and market acceptance for BeOS will significantly depend upon the availability of an increasing number of third party applications that operate on the BeOS platform. These applications include video and audio editing programs, 3D games, creative audio and video content development and manipulation, and personal productivity applications.

We intend to encourage the development of an increasing number of applications that operate on BeOS by attracting third party developers to the BeOS platform and by maintaining our existing developer relationships through marketing, technical support and financial incentives for third party developers. However, third party developers are generally under no obligation to develop applications based on the BeOS platform.
