I was under the belief that the web was just shorthand for world wide web - i.e., web pages. I know that there are web based FTP management tools that doesn't mean FTP is part of the web, no?
As someone who grew up watching far too much TV, I had a hard time bringing myself to get away from cable. It finally got to the point where the content offered just wasn't worth it to me and noticed that the bundle I subscribed to with Comcast had crept up to $150/month for a pretty barebones package (modest internet speed and a minimum on channels). A couple months ago I made the decision to drop TV and go internet only, I'd pick up SlingTV if I really missed it and still save money in the end. I figured they might offer me a discount to keep me on a bundled package but had done my research, $75 for internet alone and $25 for SlingTV. I didn't expect them to offer less than $100 so was ready to turn down any offers. It was a big surprise that they were willing to go down to $80/month by dropping the TV service to an even smaller selection(which I didn't know existed, it wasn't on the website last time I checked) but made up for that by throwing in an HBO package and faster internet than I had before. They're so desperate to keep people with TV, having subscriber numbers to tout is more important than any direct revenue.
Trump lied, self-contradicted, slung shit, said various things would be easy without any real explanation. This is not the kind of different we need. We aren't stuck embracing political orthodoxy, we want a minimum level of competency, honesty, and perspective that he clearly lacks. 2 trillion dollars isn't a rounding error... Nice tap dancing though.
And when you get home and report it, noting the number written on the TSA search notification, they give you the runaround and deny any responsibility.
"Are you sure you packed it?"
"Well, you need to notify us before you leave the airport, we don't know what's happened since then."
Get ready for an even greater rash of thefts and zero accountability.
I've traveled to Taiwan for work five times in the past year, no one expects me to know a word of Mandarin. We're still years away from that becoming a reality.
Those who want to get their hands on a copy of the file have to be patient though. Provided that they have access to the private tracker, it will take a while to download the entire 53.30 GB disk.
I haven't been to this particular tracker but can guarantee most regulars will have seedboxes. The original seeder included. Any member of the site will probably be able to have it on their home computer within a couple of hours. Gone are the days of spending up to a week just to download a 700mb avi.
Really? If memory serves, the anti-net neutrality posters on/. back when it was first introduced were all justifying their position with typical Right/Republican talking points about capitalism and free markets.
You're a terrible interviewer. Each company will have their own rules, that's the easy shit. You have someone interviewing passionately describing how they know in great detail how the technicals work and you're concerned with the new cover page for the TPS reports.
I have T-Mobile as well and love the free international roaming. I've used it with great success in Asia and Mexico but just last weekend I was in Montreal. I got the same text I always do about free roaming but the entire time I was there I only had voice and SMS service. No data whatsoever.
False analogy. Art vs utility. Unless, of course, you consider music to be some type of utility, such as sedative or exhilarant and nothing deeper. Cleary the poster you're responding to considers music to be art.
They have sales about every other month and the clothes are pretty decent in terms of quality. I don't think "snooty" is accurate either, in modern parlance they'd be considered "basic."
Considering all the facts, was Pao hired just to be the fallguy all along? Or was the board stupid enough to force all these changes on a new CEO all at once and expect her to survive?
Check your contract. If you don't sign your card when you activate, you're responsible. Merchants are supposed to refuse cards without a signature, ID or not. How does everyone not know this already?
Interesting. I've been watching since the Craig Kilborn days and really enjoyed what Jon Stewart has done with the show but I think he lost his magic a few years ago. I'm excited to see what might be next for The Daily Show.
While Jon has been great, in recent years he's relied on the same self-deprecating and hammy schtick more and more. In contrast, Colbert has been far more clever and quick-witted, packing in more info while Stewart labors a subject with rants that deprive the show of more than one or two news items.
Sure, we'll "shut down the city" and go about our daily lives as normal. Then we can laugh at the media and everyone with a grudge against Boston who actually believes the press release that we're shut down.
I also work in a cleanroom. Usually one that is only smock and hairnet but sometimes full suit. I've been to many customer fabs with various restrictions so I'm having a hard time understanding how you can have access to a watch but not a phone tucked in to your cuff. This is what most working in cleanroom fabs around the world do, slide your phone under your cuff when you gown up and have easy access to it the rest of the day. If you're already pulling the cuff away to look at your watch then you can pull it to grab the phone too.

What is Telegram? I've honestly never heard of it and I have about 5 messaging apps on my phone right now. Not sure how popular it could be.

What makes you think that every company adheres to this methodology?
So UEFI is now a Mac only thing, huh?

There's always a little splashing in a pissing contest.

Eh, doesn't that require a higher level of commitment than Elliot should care to partake in just for media?
Sure, they can be compelled to speak. But the FBI cannot decide what exactly they say.
Very true. When you're unemployed, you're tainted goods. This view from employers was prevalent even during the height of the most recent recession .
Sorry, no. I remember when it was new, I absolutely detested Seinfeld. These days I can tolerate it much better, still not a fan though.
Actually, you don't have to be married. You're allowed to sign up as single, seeking someone who is married.
