My problem is he's playing too much of a moderate. He's not pissing off everyone enough. Of course, Bush did exactly that--pissing off everyone--and I will continue to spite him.

Hmm, it's probably a good thing I'm not president.

It's not that I necessarily agree or disagree with your sentiment, but there really needs to be a "+1 Yet I disagree."

It would make modding so much more fun and interesting.

If something transitions from one medium to another, whether it's from novels to movies, from movies to games, etc, it doesn't matter.

If it's faithful to the original, I will disdain the transition for being unoriginal.

If it tries to be original, I will blame it for straying from the source material.

    *sigh*

I guess I'm really just an awful person when it comes to these things.

    Yup.

Games, however, aren't exactly essential qualities of an OS or even to life.

They're more like artwork, and I am quite willing to pay for good art.

  13. I don't even care that it's not FOSS on World of Goo Ported To Linux · · Score: 1

When it comes to games, I just don't care that much if they're not FOSS. I only care if it's supported under Linux--and not through Wine.

I consider games far more to be artwork than just software.

That said, I am a big fan of the id/John Carmack style of releasing source code after a game is no longer commercially viable, and I do wish more companies would do the same.
