Yes they are... behind the scenes. They have many overlapping interests.. and shareholders.. They just don't have a publicly visible association like the movie and recording industries.

We have 'Silicon Valley'.. *cough* Apple out there voicing the nice benefits of slave labor... With 'friends' like these... They only make noise against it because they aren't the direct beneficiaries. Face it.. SOPA "creates jobs".. just like security theater and prohibition..
Whatever is being leaked is not the problem. It's how it's used against me that counts. It takes government authority that protects the perpetrators that act in bad faith to make it an issue.
