    Of course, they'll pry my Sirius tuner from my cold dead hands. Of course, if they're prying the tuner from my cold dead hands, then I'll have died in my car, and I don't want to think about why that would happen...

    Gain a driver's license in one state and you're legal to drive in all 50 states, even though the motor vehicle laws differ in the details across the different states.

    For fun, try transferring a title to a car across state lines. Espeially when the title comes from another state and says Title to "Person X OR Person Y"

    The clerk at the DMV had to pull out a legal handbook to see what that states' definition of "OR" was and how it related to a title that was signed by only one of the people on the title.

    It isn't tiny, but the Shuttle XPC M 1000 looks a lot like a home theatre stack component. It's not slim though.

    For something more cubish, Shuttle has the SB36G5M running Intel's "Viiv" media platform

    Yup. because they're living in the "long tail" end of the market

    I have a friend who made his own for about $0.90 a disc plus his own time. Heck, if you're feeling saucy, he'll sell you one for $5.

    In the US, Except for the major Network stations, channels don't always get a lot of national ad coverage. The cable company is the one that sells a lot of the ad space.

    How about a Shuttle SD11G5. It has an external power brick, heat sink on the CPU and a single fan.

    It uses the Pentium M chipset, so it doesn't draw a lot of power. Built-in Creative 7.1 sound, SPDIF in, SPDIF out, 1 PCI Express and 1 pci slot, and VGA/DVI onboard output. SFFTech Review. Shuttle's tests say that it's noise level is 24 dB.

    That's their product. Farmers don't need to buy it.

    That's right. They don't need to buy it. You only need to look at the case of Percy Schmeiser to see that a farmer can lose everything by having a few GM seeds blow onto his property. For a farmer that saves a portion of his seeds every year (and had been doing it for many years before the introduction of GM crops), Monsanto has been a death sentence.
