Some might call paying monthly to play a game you've already bought is a ridiculous waste of money.
It just depends on your outlook.
How long in game time would it take to make/earn the amount of gold purchased? Paying to shortcut that that might be a brilliant use of money for some.
There's also been hinting at "pay to transfer" schemes. That would help limit the hopscotching, as well as put money into the infrastructure and upkeep.
So they want you to pay to transfer your player to another server, so that you can play the game you're already paying for? Wow! Good luck to them if they can get away with that!
Personally I wouldnt let myself get taken advantage of.
There are a lot of idiots on the internet, and sooner or later you are going to run into one of them while perfomring an eBay transaction.
Of course, a 100% feedback rating would be nice, but I'm not going to bend over backwads for someone who is tryint to abuse the feedback system to get more out of me.
I'd stand firm in my assertions, and if they left a bad feedback rating I'm sure that my feedback rebuttal, plud the other 100+ positive feedback scores would be enough to convince future traders of my trustworthyness.
If you are too scared of losing the 100%rating then you'll end up giving far more away.
The same way it should be up to drivers to determine how fast they should be able to drive?
You make the poiint yourself. there are some people who should not be driving, however in their minds they probably consider themselves excellent drivers.
After all, does anyone ever consider themselves a _bad_ driver?
The longer you have to play, the longer you will have to subscribe, the more money they get from subscription fees!
Maybe they should move subscriptions from a flat monthly fee to some kind of hours-played tarrif.
You buy packs of gaming hours so if you only play 1 hour a week your subscription lasts 'longer' than someone who is playing 14 hours a day. After all, that 14 hour a day player is using the server resources a great deal more than you. Shouldn't they pay more?
IMO Gaming Horizon are not worth the phosphor they're written on.
Their reviewers don't seem bothered to actually review the games.
I've called them (via their forums) on a Multiplayer based game that they reviewer without even firing up the multiplayer side of the game! Thats akin to reviewing Counterstrike by playing it against bots. The reviewer wasnt interesteded, and because abusive. Other GH staff joined in defending them.
Not worth wasting your time on. Since I spotted that ommision I've never gone back.
Surely it would only be infringement if the file you downloaded actually was the real film. If you've been downloading a fake file then you havent actually breached their copyright. If they are sending you bits of the real file but preventing it from completing then aren't they themselves the original uploader?
Is there such a crime as 'Intent to commit copyright infringement'....?
The problem here is that everyone believes themselves to be a good driver, and has implicit faith in their ability to handle whatever is thrown at them on the roads. Just reading through some other replies here various people are saying things like "I tailgate, but I always plan an escape route" or "I'll always be able to stop in time" .
That's just wrong.
C'mon people. No-one plans to have an accident. All the self confidence in the world will not protect you.
Why does the game require ridiculous amounts of game time?
If it too no time at all then Blizzard wouldn't be able to sell more game-time.
Making things take a long time to do is ultimately their aim.

If I had mod points you'd get them.
Its a shame you post at -1 by default as that was actually pretty informative. I might have to get hold of a copy of that book.
Its only just getting released in the UK. This week I believe. I have a copy on pre-order!
It's just you.
But 'guest' IS spelt correctly.
I loved the original UT, but I found that the addition of vehicles has kille, dthe enjoyment of the game.
All people ever play these days is Onslaught. I loved Deathmatch and Capture The Flag, using proper weapons, not just the Instagib rifle.
With UT2K4 its really hard to get a good game of DM or CTF these days, and I cant see that changing with UT2K7.
Personally I wouldnt let myself get taken advantage of.

I did wonder why you were so interested in trumpets until I re-read your message.

I get a popup about something related to Quicktime missing, but the page loads up just fine.
I must have missed that part of the story...
What did the Sony DRM stuff do to software firewalls?
Of course they reward length of play.

Any chance of seeing this in the UK without having to import?
Which part of burning downloaded DVD's is legal?

Well, of course!
It wouldn't be a trojan unless it were pretending to be something other than it was.....

Yes, that is a jackass... but my point is the just-as-jackassy idiot doing 65 in a 90 zone with no reason...
You do realise that 90 is the speed limit and not a speed requirement..?
It amazes me the number of people who get p*ssed off because someone is driving slightly slower than the limit. They're supposed to! It's a limit!
Get out of your OSX-centric box you peon. OS-X is next to useless.
I'd imagine that most people already have a perfectly good IRC, email and Bit torrent clients.
I certainly have, and they have more features than the inbuilt Opera versions.
It's difficult to call Opera bloatware since you rightly say its only 5Mb, but why bundle in all these extras?
