    I think the issue here is not so much the Feds, but the states. States derive huge tax revenues from alcohol and cigarettes, so they pursue these two items tax evasion very rigorously.

    They could also accomplish this by running a cross reference between the address on peoples registration and the Tax ID # of their employer. Then validate against insurance information.

    Not perfect - many exceptions immediately jump to mind (multicar family, unemployed, self employed, use of personal vehicle for work, corporate HQ in another city/county/state, ad nauseum).

    However you certainly wouldn't need a GPS and a bunch of additional infrastructure to accomplish this.

    They never "break the hold of gravity."

    When they are orbiting the earth they are still subject to the earth's gravity - what is happening is that they are constantly falling towards the center of the earth.

    This is why it is referred to as "free fall." In the astronauts local frame of reference it would seem that there is no gravity. It would be the same in an elevator whose cable broke and was falling down the shaft.

    Earth's gravity still has them, they are still falling, they just never hit the earth because their forward velocity carries then past it as they fall.

    It is the same for geosynchronous satellites even though they are circling at a slower speed.

    Physics 101 - it is interesting!

    The point of my post is that a dumb user can grant inapproriate access to malicious code regardless if he types "su" and a password, or clicks on Tools | Internet Options | Security and slides his settings to "Meduim Low".

    I haven't read the flames yet, but.... asking for specific advice when you won't a) reveal what language the code is in, or b) what compiler is being used sort of invites flames.

    Distribute the rally point in sealed envelopes (yes, on paper). These envelopes are only opened by the navigator after a given amount of time.

    Uness the infiltration is psychic (could it be perhaps as this is possible on TV!) there is no way to anticipate the rally point.

    However if I were the Cylons I would simply not chase one group - let them think they have spoofed me.

    Split the fleet intp parts. Jump.

    If a fleet evades, then do the same thing with the fleet that was tracked.

    Once you find out which ship is being tracked (gee could it be Galactica?) repeat the process but start swapping passengers among ships.
