Finally a place I can store all my p0rn/warez/dvds. But seriously why did they put in a 3D Graphics cards on a server. Surely any cheap AGP card even without 3D will do. Some basic ATI's are just $20
One thing is that people see personal computer and think Windows. Apple doesn't run Windows so as far as the public is concered that as they can't play the greatest game then its not a PC. Its one thing advertisers seem to forget is that most people think PC = Microsoft.
Quite simply most of the general population is non technical
So baring that IE, Mozilla, Opera have prior art as well as all those 1000's of people who have written their passwords on Post-It notes and stuck them on their monitor I see no problem with this
Well it wasn't that bad. Better than the second but not as good as the first. If you just look to have a fun 2 hours watching it then great.. As for shrek well lets see how many mother in law jokes they can get in. Like
I took my dog to the vet and asked for his tail to be amputated. The vet said "Why? Its perfectly fine". Well I said that I don't want my mother-in-law to have any sign she's welcome:)
Well this is a nice alternative to having to take my mobile with my when travelling. Just walk into an airport, send a text messages to people who need to know and just walk around. If it gets stolen, no big deal.
Of course you would have t owrite down all your numbers in an addressbook but is that such a big deal?
Well this is like the story a few days ago about an FBI agent who was spammed about a credit card scam and got the women arrested. Prehaps things like the FTC should have one individual who they try to get on every mailing list / get target by spammers. Least that way something could be done
Flash might be annoying, heave used for the wrong reasons but it is cross platform including Linux, FreeBSD, MAC and IRIX. I would expect solaris as well. Basically it has support for alomst 100% of computers out there. Can we ever see MS support all those OS's? I dont think so.
Well least with this the next time someone is listening to Brinty Spears and you put your fingers in your ears you can just say you are making a phone call
Well last time I desperatly wanted to listen to the raido was in about 2000 when there was a live concert by my favourite band of the time. The only time recently on tv where there were repeats of Gamesmaster but that was just for the retro kick. Oh and last night when my favourite Simpsons episode was on, The Last Temptation of Homer
But generally it takes something special to peak my intrest
Well I will just patent breathing and sue everyone. Now I'm sorry that there has to be prior art to this. Surely even Windows Update covers this. Prehaps MS should just bring up a test case as they have deep enough pockets. Then again they will probably just buy the patent for stupid amounts then tax everyone else
Well I have to wonder how all this will be stored and made secure for the next 100 years. Its going to take some large scale hardware, with a fast recall mechanism. Whatever company gets/has the contract must be rubbing their hands with glee
"I think nothing of leaving apps and files open for days or even weeks on the Linux machine.".
Now that is cool. Nice endorsment of Linux's stability. However I still think he should say that he does save once in a while as stable as Linux is it can't survive the power cord being pulled out the back or a child putting a pop tart in the CD-ROM drive
These 419 scams (named after the nigerian police code) can be dangerous. There have been reports of where people have actually gone to foreign countries and then been kidnapped forcing the familes to pay a ransom note.
Now can you show off and do wheelies on that? Probably not but cool idea anyway
