Our police deparment is a joke, so we rely on private security guards for safety. Any person who earns at least the minimum wage won't seek medical assistance from government-run hospitals unless they want to die early.

  14. Re:own damn fault on Google, Amazon, Microsoft Go East For Network Gear · · Score: 1

    Solution:
    - Lessen costs by investing in technology. A single robot is more efficient than a thousand underpaid workers.
    - Improve quality by investing in research. Your business is less profitable because of Huwawei? No problem, just build a better router and bundle it with quality support.
    - Protect your job by investing in education. Indians can easily steal your PHP job, but they will have a hard time stealing your kernel programming job.

How to make companies do the right investment:
    - Stop protecting companies. If a company fails due to bad decision, let them fail and die. Don't give free tax money to failures. Encourage successful companies (i.e., companies with good leaders) to take their place.

Yes, sinusitis is really uncomfortable for us, but let's be thankful that we only have sinusitis. If doctors will always prescribe antibiotics to sinusitis patients, then bacteria would evolve so fast that antibiotics would be useless to people with life-threatening conditions.

Let's help the world be a better place by using antibiotics only as a last resort.

The United States of America comprehended the fairest part of the earth, and the most civilized portion of mankind. The frontiers of that extensive republic were guarded by ancient renown and disciplined valor. The gentle but powerful influence of laws and manners had gradually cemented the union of the states. Their peaceful inhabitants enjoyed and abused the advantages of wealth and luxury. The image of a free constitution was preserved with decent reverence: the American people appeared to possess the sovereign authority, and devolved on the President the executive powers of government.

But its fall was announced by a clearer omen than the flight of vultures: the American government appeared every day less formidable to its enemies of liberty, more odious and oppressive to its subjects.
