What do you expect from the company who's update server product was named "WUS" (Windows Update Services) up until recently (they changed it to "WSUS", so much better).
But yeah, this is PSSU thing does sound like a pretty good idea. Surely this will make it into Longhorn.
I may be mistaken, but I believe it was announced a while back that B&B were handling the finale. At any rate, they're apparently going to involve the holodeck for the finale....it's like one big last "Fuck You Fans".
Because the Wichita police department were collectively shitting their pants at not being able to catch BTK. If you lived within a 10 block radius of any site where there was a BTK murder or information drop, you pretty much got swabbed.
Of course that's hyperbole, but it was almost that bad. They swabbed something like over 1000 people. It was ridiculous.
A. Computers automatically have some sort of drain on student grades because children are compelled to waste time on them no matter what.
B. Parents do not bother to properly monitor the time their children spend on the computer, even when it is at the expense of the childs educational responsibilities (homework, projects, etc).
Duh. I guarentee you this same report could have been released in 1990 with the advent of home game consoles, 1960 with the advent of television, or in 1930 with the advent of radio. If you're a good parent, you make sure your child does their homework before they get any TV/game/computer time, you're child continues to get good grades and test scores, despite the presence of those "evil" computers in your house.
Well this is 1 million zombie-infected PC's, which are infected with specific types of trojans and such and presumably are actively being used in bot-nets.
I imagine there are quite a few more machines that are zombie infected that were not detected for whatever reason (turned off, firewalls, etc), plus all the millions of more machines that are "just" infected with viruses, spyware, or trojans that do not produce bot-net like activity.
OK I'll give you Nintendo and Genesis, but Turbo-Grafix? I can say without reservation that Turbo-Grafix had to effect on my life as an adult: I never played it.
If you need a third game console, for God's sake at least have the decency to throw in Atari.
What if someone gets through the firewall?
Maybe I'm naive but if someone compromises a firewall, I don't think their first thought is going to be "OMG LAND Attack LOLz!!!!"
The problem here, however, is that many times liable court cases are not so much about "proof", as they are about "getting a bored jury who are impressed with big numbers and the chance to be on Oprah".
Say a suit against Microsoft comes to trial because some hellion....errr, sweet innocent child shot his sister with a chu-ko-nu after playing way to much Age of Empires 2. A jury could hear testimony for a week straight about how the child has a history of playing with crossbows, ballistas, and trebuchets, and that chu-ko-nu violence was entirely predictable for this child. But at the end of the day, if the jury has it in their head that MS is responsible for chu-ko-nu violence, well then MS is writing a big fat check.
I'm not a faithful Enterprise viewer, but by all accounts this past season has been much better than previous ones, due in large part to Manny Coto being the show runner this season.
Seems to me MS could have solved this problem by requiring the large OEM's to stop allowing their keys to be "unused" like this. And you know what, there was a time that MS could have done this, despite the added effort/headache it would have undoutbedly been for the OEM's.
That, or the author was just trying to avoid redundancy in the sentence.
The trick to flying is to jump and miss the ground. Perhaps this will improve your results.
You know MC Hawking isn't going to stand for this shit.

Don't you usually have to be recognized by the general public before it is even possible to be "typecast"?
Yeah, because your cable company is a pillar of virtuous marketing techniques and would NEVER try something like this.
I know this is the straw on the camel for you and you have other reasons for switching, but trust me, you'll be seeing these again inside of 6 months.
Can you prove they are not bugged?
Just what I was thinking. Nothing like naming your first born child after your psychotic, wang-obsessed online persona.
No no no, in a situation like this you yell "Joke" and insult the posters sense of humor.

How come "Who are you and why the fuck should I care?" wasn't one of the questions asked?

Parenting. Which do you think is more likely?
A. Computers automatically have some sort of drain on student grades because children are compelled to waste time on them no matter what.

WoW promised to offer new content frequently, but that's not been delivered
THE GAME IS NOT EVEN 6 MONTHS OLD! Christ people.
Does this guy have a "Your 10th lawsuit defense is free" coupon book with his lawyer or something?

Yup, you're right, back up again. I'm sure it wasn't me though, someone must have fiddled with some cables on the other end.
And yet, we can't get to the site.

What the hell good are you then?

No. Likely they just went and got some stock photo of an Enterprise ship to have some graphics on the page.
It's highly unlikely there is even a finished plot for the next Star Trek movie at this point in time.
