Well it's actually a sound card driver problem. Something about some dsp timer not being reset properly or something. Yes, it's a problem, but it's not really mythtv's problem, so it's not a bug in mythtv. It's just that I only ever record audio in mythtv so that's where the problem shows up. And I never said mythtv doesn't have bugs; I just said the parent's problem sounded like a hardware problem. In mythtv 0.13 the program guide scrolls fucking slow!(a lot slower than in 0.12), so it's not bugless.

Sounds like a hardware problem. Mine doesn't do that. Although on about 1 in 20 recordings the sound is kinda metallic with my wintv-dbx and turtle beach santa cruz.
Do you understand that the MU guy didn't write the slashdot writeup? Find where it says on the website(NOT SLASHDOT) that he has developed(rather than he is developing) the gloves and has a working product.
Why do people blindly trust the slashdot writeup and not even read the article? Also, why do the mods automatically mod it up? Seems like the opposite of what the moderation should be. Anyway, the article clearly states that he is developing the gloves, not that he has developed them. Also, there is a picture of a supposed prototype on the page, but I can't tell what the hell it is.
Some states require front plates and some don't. I know missouri does. I also back my explorer into spaces all the time because I know my reverse is about to go out.
If you bought a used cd at a regular used cd shop, then you paid sales tax on it. When buy a used car you also pay sales tax, but you don't pay anything to the maker of the car. I don't understand what you are trying tos ay.
If you really wanted to be geeky, you could encode the mp3s so it actually stores the mp3s themselves on the tape, then when you play the tape back it reads the mp3s and plays the music.

So how does them trying to escape the fortress tie into the whole 28 days later thing? The first half was good because they were trying to survive and fight the zombies. Then they go to the fortress and the want to escape. For half the fucking movie. If they were there for only 10 minutes and went and did something else then I wouldn't have a problem with it. What I'm trying to say is that you could put the second half on ANY movie and it would fit. Well, except for the occasional zombie that came up to the perimeter. Were the women planning on never having sex again? They didn't know if ANYONE else was alive. Those could be the last people on earth. So they don't want to have sex with these men so that humans die out. They didn't want to rape them, they just wanted to have sex with them. Then the women went all stuck up and wouldn't have sex with the men, so it became an issue of rape. I think it would have been a much better movie if they had sex and they all lived there together and tried to survive. That would have been much more likely then a few of them wanting to go back out with the zombies. That just doesn't make sense.
28 days later was horrible. It started out pretty damn well and it had a good storyline. Then about halfway through it fell apart and the story disappeared. "Oh no! The men want to have sex with the women and possibly have a chance at repopulating. Can't have that! Let's escape." It turned into a standard fighting-type movie with the "good" guys trying to escape and the "bad" guys trying to hold them hostage.
If you use a good packaging system then dependencies are no problem. I don't want to sound like a gentoo whore, but all i had to type was emerge mythtv mythfrontend. Bam. TV tuner card was bt878 based so that worked with the default kernel(although I've upgraded several times now).
I agree. Unless the pipes are fully insulated the entire length, they can freeze regardless of the temperature in the house. A lot of times kitchen sinks are on exterior walls, so those pipes will be the first to freeze.
I don't think I would be in a situation where there is a jammer around but no landline telephone. I don't have a celular phone and I don't plan to ever get one, so it doesn't matter anyway.
Then use a god damn phone in the theater. A regular phone. There is no reason to have a cell phone in a movie theater at all. If you are in the situation where you need to be able to receive a phone call or are expecting a phone call, then you shouldn't be going to the movies in the first place. I don't fucking care what technology can do for you. It is fucking inconsiderate. You motherfucking jackoffs.

Just because it hasn't been mentioned on slashdot doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You have to look for them.

For an umlaut, first do a vowel, then do a w with a horizontal line attached(w-), and don't pick up the stylus between the w and the line.
