DVDs don't degrade? Just because you don't think it does doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Find something that doesn't degrade over time and you'll be a fucking billionaire.
2. They're fragile. You can drop a VHS cassette onto concrete - don't try this with your DVDs
Have you ever actually done that? VHS cassettes consist of a few big pieces of plastic that snap together. Drop that on concrete and there is a good chance it'll break apart. Drop a small, light piece of plastic, nothing happens. Maybe a few scratches, but so long as you don't throw it on the concrete there won't be any major damage.
DVDs are compressed, and so sometimes there are video artifacts. Laserdiscs are analog and have full, uncompressed video. Looks pretty damn good. A lot of laserdiscs even had an AC3 track for surround sound.
I know. I said the show was about busting myths. I said they busted the myth myth about fooling the breathalyzer test. I never said they busted any other myths.
Download.com started sucking hardcore when they started charging a listing fee. There is hardly any freeware on there anymore; just a bunch of shitty shareware. And calling everything "free to try" just pisses me off. What the hell is wrong with just calling it shareware?
XMMS isn't installed by default, nor is it the only media player shipped with most distributions. When you install linux, you can choose exactly which packages you want to install. Imagine if windows came with wmp and winamp, and during installation you got to choose which one you wanted to install.
It's because a lot of people don't like microsoft. You have to look at who is doing the action in addition to just looking at the action. Microsoft is a bunch of dumb goatfuckers and I would love to see someone else patent the popup blocker.
gkrellm works with the new sensors. Actually I couldn't get lmsensors working at all, but now the hardest part was just figuring out which modules I needed to load for my motherboard, then load them, and it just worked.
What's the point of even having a wrapper then? If you can eat it too, then isn't it essentially part of the candy? If it is part of the candy then it is not a wrapper.
I just found out about allofmp3.com last night when I was looking for a rush song and I didn't want to go out and buy the cd(it was late at night). It's a russian site so I'm not sure of the legitimacy of it. $15/month unlimited downloads or $.01/meg metered. It was pretty nice paying $.06 for a song rather than spending $15 on a cd so I could get that one song.
Well I have a microsoft natural pro internet whatthefuckever(the good one from back in the day) and I've always used the way I originally posted. Actually now that I am thinking about it I can't fucking figure out what I naturally do. I just have to do it, but I don't get much of a chance to in linux.

That was a myth, which they busted. That's what the show is all about. Busting myths. If only they could come up with a good, descriptive name for it.

POS with a cuecat? If I go to a store to buy something and the cashier rings it up with a fucking cuecat, then I'm leaving and never going back.

Jesus fucking christ. Who let mr. mcbride be a moderator?
Listening and hearing are different, just as information and data are different.

Speed is relative. As far as they are concerned, they are still and everything is moving around them.
They're speed holes.

Nothing fails like prayer!
Tapes and hard drives are a fucking lot higher density than DVD-Rs.
Well a two-mouse system is pretty difficult to set up. You plug in another mouse.

Thumb on alt, ring finger on control, middle finger on delete.
So all these years you thought you were the only one? Out of every American who has received hundreds of them?
How do you know they aren't accurate?
You left out a t in your link. Try this
