    But admittedly I'm not an audio professional so maybe all this free/opensource software is missing key features I don't know about, which only commercial tools are providing so far...

    It will probably depend on how long they'll stay up there. Virgin Galactic plans are only for a few minutes of weightlessness.

    Space elevators, why not? Maybe it is easier to use an approach with tethers..

    It may be cheaper to send the first part, see if it successfully gets back into Mars orbit after its surface mission. In case something goes wrong, they don't have to send the return stage. But yeah I don't really have numbers to back that up.

    In my Firefox configuration there's only the window bar and scrollbar, and if there's more than one tab open, also the tab bar. If I need to put in some specific url, i use cmd+L (on mac), for many other things I use Ubiquity as a highly functional CLI for the browser. And yes when I'm doing financial stuff i reactivate it for certificate info and such.

    So the news is always, China "steals" from the US. Is this really the rule, and the US never "steals" from China? Is it really that black-and-white?
