You know your right. I always recomened HP printers, I went out and got a v40, read the reviews and found out it was shit. Returned it and bought a samsung. I didn't even notice it becouse I had my eyes fixed on HP. This printer qualitly is great so far. I wish it had Mac drivers, but someday it may.
What I want to know is how will the acess be billed and authenticated? Are they going to use special WEP keys? or some software that you have to install? What platforms will they support.
I think the US is the only place where the stupid "airtime" exisits. In Europe, you DON'T pay for recived calls, toll free calls are free. Cell phones are just like anyother phone. I really wish the big players will wake up and adopt a similay pay plan.
I bought the Motorola T720 cellphone, the new color one with games and all. Well it has tetris and tony hawk skater game, Both of these games are DEMOS! and thats one of the main selling points of the phone, look at the ads for it. I bought it for the big screen, and returned it yesterday for a Nokia becouse the Motorola keept crashing on me. But we will see more of this in the furtre becouse people buy things and say, "wow it come with this and that..." umm no.
CNN (Atlanta) reported that popular website Slashdot (www.slashdot.org) will have more and more dumb news stories for the years to come. As one avid reader "cOkErUlZ" put it, "I'm just seeing more crap on/." Another reader how did not want to use his screen name for fear of lossing karma put it, "I check/. every hour, sometimes I get up just to miss the LOTR ads on TV, and lately all I see is crap about spam, and fancy busness stuff. I mean get real, if I wanted to read shit like that I would goto cnn.com"
I downloaded the demo, Does your software download maps for Europe? I tried to get maps of Frankfurt, Germany, but all I got was green checkmarks. I could get Tampa, FL maps without a problem.
At my old high school (www.wies-hs.odedodea.edu) our tech teacher would allow games during lunch. It was great! People who looked at us as being geeks would stop by and get intrested in what was going on, frag a few and check out the electronic projects that were on display. I think that help defuse the stereotye of geeks.
Best part was in the spring he would bust out the grill and everyone would bring food!
I know that a lot of teachers did not like our tech teacher for his style, but he were the top DoD tech school and he did get the top US teacher back in '98, I think.
Looking back I wish I took more electronic courses.
I know what you are saying, and I agree, but some marketing idiot said the PC needed a modem and look into a cataloug and found the cheapist thing they could get.

Do you have an intel Nic? replace it. I found most BSOD to be from Intel nics. In linux they work fine, but in NT they just die at random.
Don't forget the /. editors repeat stories all the time, an added bonus if your on vacation!
I want to meet the sales guy that sold them the switches.
How much does GigE run per port? $500?
Scroll you mouse over the "BUSINESS" tab above the article. (Don't click!) It's between the HOME and TECHNOLOGY.
Notice what ad shows up above Linus' name!
Not true, you'll be interviewing for clients and doing demos all day.
