    You must drive American cars.

    My father has two Mercedes 190's and one is 16 years old. The odomiter when over three times and stoped working 6 years ago. The second, with an auto transmition, also had the odomiter die a few years ago.

    It's no wonder why almost every Taxi in Germany is a Mercedes. Just yesterday I went to the mall and had a card on the windows that says "I'll buy your MB", I was driving my dad's 16 year old.

    In Poland at the start of the 90's I remeber seeing "Bolexes, Panasonigs, and Bomegas" nicly displayed at the fine stores.

    Do a search on Dell's support website for it.

    That is why Cisco has the 'reboot in' command. Type in in and tell it to reboot in 30 minutes or 90, and do your changes. When you think it works good cancel the reboot.

    Very usefull for remote routers.

    My old boss you to do that. He would send a spam out to our customers with our email address. He told us that it was a tactic "to keep us on our toes"

    Great, now I wasted an hour deleting these emails.

    (of course it was used to see who was smart and knew how to create filters)

    I agree with you. When I arived in Germany around '89 I was a little kid and remeber checking the car with my mom for bomb before we got into it. That was normal. I still live in Germany, same base. Funny thing now is that the Germans are patrolling the gates to the US bases. Why? Becouse the US military is so undermaned.

    I think the reason US is going nuts is becouse the last time US citizens experianced war was during the civil war. Even WWII, Americans that lived in the US didn't see or hear any gunshots.

    Anyways, if you want to read something scary, read the artice below. Note the date.

    Oh yeah, there are kits they sell around schools called "Kidnap recovery kits" or somthing similar. Goto your local police station and you'll see posters for them.

    I agree with you on the food. I'll be in DC next month for a few days, know of anyplace cheap to stay at? Last time I stayed at a hostel (can't find link now) but they were $26 a night.

    The Internation Spy Museum is a private thing. The CIA museum is on at CIA headquaters in Langly.

    BTW, the ISM is pretty cool.

    It could have been a licencing issue. Many places will not allow you to bring things like that from the outside becouse they want you to buy the overpriced items inside.

    Same with food and drinks.

    Most LCD screens that I seen use a power brick to bring down the voltage to 12v or so. What that means is your still drawing a good amount of current to get the LCD to work. - I know that laptops also have a powerbrick, but I would rather have one brick than two. Also some laptop manufacrues make two types of power brinks, I know that Thinkpads have a low power brick and a high power one to charge batteries faster. Just something to keep in mind if your looking to get the most power for the least gas.

    Hey VoIP companies!

    If you guys want a lot of subscibers, why don't you ship your units to APO and FPO address? There are a LOT of families overseas that have broadband and would LOVE to sign up for service like this. I personaly have tried to call Vonage but they will not ship to APO.

    BTW: Vonage has it's call center in India.

    Ford will not support any Ford car that is older than 7 years. A buddy of mine wanted to get the AC fixed and the Ford dealer pointed him to another unathorized place.

    What you should look into is getting a European version of a GSM phone. Reason is that the FCC limits the power wattage from the radio on the phone. Europe's limit is much higher.
