If you want to sign up for ATT's VoIP trial, goto talk.att.com. It takes about 2 weeks and then you get a D-Link router that does the VoIP for you. Seveal of my friends and myself have signed up for it. It's free (including calls) till Feb 29.
At work I told everyone "do it on paper" Any project, be it a graphic design or code I will write it out on paper. Mostly web pages, people like to open up frontpage and play around - not getting anywhere. I tell them to draw it out on paper becouse the most of the time you spent getting your idea on the damn screen. (especialy in frontpage)
Europe also has this. What you see is what you pay. I think that the US is the only contry that I have been to that adds on taxes and fees later to your bill.
But your forgeting one important thing. You are thinking of an attack as a all out war - WWII style. While you may be true as to your statment.
But one thing you have to remeber that any attack - be it a shoe bomb, to a nuclear bomb is an attack. The reason becouse any of these small attacks send the stock market down.
At my old job a freind and I found an old 300 MB HD. We decided to take the cover off and look inside. Then we plugged it into a 486 we had around and installed Win 3.11 - All while the cover was off. We let it run for a few days and watched the head move back and forth. Finaly we got board of defrags and decided to kill it. First off with compressed air upside down (so it spits a cold liquid) then with magnets. The damn HD kept on going. Finaly we started throwing shit at it. That killed it slowly.
Older Mecedes use an air system for the central locks. It has tubes with air that suck or push the air to open or close the locks.
IMO the system stinks becouse the pipes get old and once they have cracks it breaks. Also doen't work when your car has been sitting for a few days and the presseur is lost.
I just got back from Germany where I was using my moms GSM phone. I have a AT&T GSM phone here in the states, I must say that I agree with you. GSM in the states is like a tin can on a string. It works sometimes and other times you can forget about it. While in Germany I was doing some hiking in the Apls and had very good reception all the time.
It uses the same maps as the MapPoint and AutoRoute. Very good maps.
I tried the Garmin Mapsource for the GPS V, and that was crap. Trying to find an address you typed in the street number first then the street name. I never was able to find the street on the first try.
My Buddy and I went to the store in Tampa (same store that is in the pictures). He called earlier to find out if his student discount will be valid for the upgrade and they told him that it would. Well after standing in line for two hours we got into the store. He picked up a copy of OS X and walked up to the register, the sales guy told him that they cannot give the student discount. My friend was pissed and talked to the assistant manager "Chris" who also told him that they can only give the 10% off and no the student discount.
Dumb things like this is why I sold my iBook and have not looked back.
I guess the real value of the tablet is that you can look up info. I think it would be great for an assistant to have that could look up what the sales for last year were, or what is the correct spelling of some silly word.
I take it your not a firewall admin.

Califonia also. The Jet Propultion Lab is there and so is Edwards AFB. The testing center for expermental aircraft.
My flight is leaving Monday.
So did Hitler. (or atleast that is what he told Germans during Riechstag)
That's a nice shirt.

What VoIP provider do you use? Most of the ones I see are US centric and when you say your in Europe they don't want to talk to you.
ATT's is doing a major systems upgrade. Kinda stupid on there part to be doing it right when the protability thing is going on.
Not many people know this - But the GSM licence says that there must be two GSM providers in each country. That is why the US took so long to get GSM.
Do you know that all touch-tone phone have a tax assosiated with them?
Yep - We still pay it.

There was the slashdot cruser as a give away a few years ago...

Nokia makes a GPRS/WiFI PCMCIA card, check nokia.com. You might need to look at the european nokia.
That's becouse the airforce is not the military. :)
My freind and I went to a german trade show and the AOL girl was handing out CD TOPLESS. She had body paint on - that's it.
I don't know if the T has the funds or not. I know they lost a lot in there German IPO and spent a lot on G3.

Garmin, Please look into buying Microsoft's maps.
Microsoft, Please allow licences for your maps.
No late return fees?
You know that companies make a lot of money of silly things like that.
