Alchemy is real...it later became the science known as Chemistry. Just because a science in the past had charlatans, does not mean they didn't do science. Alchemy was the study of the elements of nature, which discovered the modern elements, it isn't only about turning lead into gold, but does have the history of that. As far as I have heard of, the lead into gold thing was a way to get funding, obviously, no one ever accomplished it. They did however discover many elements, such as phosphorous.
Though they were not wildly popular in the consumer market (though incidentally I know many people who prefer them), they were very popular in certain commercial markets. The computers many delivery people use are tablets; UPS, Fedex, beverage distribution companies.
I am Catholic, and I just can't support this if it is real. Only a true religious zealot would want to put a cross on the moon. Why not a symbol from every religion?
Tell that to Apple, they are really in trouble if imitation is doomed to fail, after all, almost every major brand had a tablet computer well before Apple.
Why does the pharmaceutical companies hawk their wares directly to the end recipient rather than the doctor whose business is to evaluate a medicine's efficacy.
I thought that was odd too, as there is no game actually named Wolfenstein. It is either Wolfenstein 3D or Return to Castle Wolfenstein. If they can type out the name of every Call of Duty iteration, how is it so hard to type out the name of RTCW properly?
Some of the problem is which Dell or HP line you are using. The consumer machines are built to be cheap, therefore they have whichever component was cheap at the time. The commercial level machines are all built the same, and often machines from the same line can use the same drivers, even years later. Dell's line is the Latitude line, they are built better, and they have a standard set of parts.
Except the day on Mercury is much longer than the day on Earth? or were you answering another question. I don't know if I could walk all that fast at such a spot as almost the north or south pole of the Earth either.
As you are not using it in a commercial setting, there is nothing wrong with using the picture. If you are selling access, selling newspapers, or other items like this, you should request permission from the author. I highly doubt that the person who put up the photo would have any problem with you mirroring it as long as attribution is used. Putting the picture up on your personal site is not commercial use of the photo unless you make money off of it.
IANAL, and even if I was, IANYL. Best thing would be to email the author of the picture and explain the situation and ask permission.
I think I remember one of the episodes it was lupus, still took him all episode to figure it out. If they are extremely rare disorders/diseases, then doesn't it follow suit that they are extremely rare?
They have guns too, only dropped twice, never fired. Being descended from the French, I feel quite alright making jokes, laughing is the best medicine after all.
Yeah, BWI has technology like this in the hourly garage, there are sensors above the parking spots that relay to a server that then displays the number of spots on each level and row that are available. Putting the program on a smartphone seems like the ultimate in ludicrous, I like having the numbers displayed on overhead signs as it allows you to not take your eyes off the road and pay attention to your driving. Plus, are smartphones really that common that everyone has them? Last I checked that is still at least 10 years off.
The illiterate was kind of a joke, but it mostly is people who just don't bother to read the terms, or are simply unable to understand them and are not explained the terms thoroughly enough.
Those numbers are a bit suspect. There is no way a guy making 15k could afford a 400k loan even for the first couple months. at 2.9% interest (a typical subprime at the time) and a 30 yr mortgage, that is 1664.92 a month. That is without PMI, which most people would be forced to pay, and no property taxes. 15k is 1250 a month, about $875 takehome (taxes are about 30% around here, might be even less on this little money). I suppose if it was interest only it is possible, but that is just asking for trouble, and I can't imagine getting a rate low enough to afford the payments still. At the above rate, the interest only payment is 966.67.
When I was looking for my first house, my parents gave me a good rule to follow. The most expensive house you should buy would be three times your yearly salary. When I got my credit run by the bank they laughed at me looking at such a low number and suggested another 2x that, I ignored them, and thank god I did. If I had not stuck by that rule, now that I make twice what I was making then, I could not afford the houses they were trying to push me for. I think it all boils down to personal greed, the bank and real estate agent make a percentage of the sale, so they will push you for the most expensive house you can "afford".

Wikipedia mentions many examples of tablet computers, some looked much like the iPad, but generally they ran Windows, so were actually useful:

Nope, most likely a quite frozen carcass until it gets hit by a micro meteorite or something.

Because that is now illegal?
Um, you recoup the money through Copyright. Why is there a need for Patent protection on top of Copyright?

Which he most often answers with "Yes" So therefore it is what he goes by...

Wasn't that kind of implied in the ending of the movie? That for all his hard work, in the end it was actually wrong for him to of done it.
I would probably enjoy having a doctor with House's personality, but damn do they ever stumble around in the dark...
Does it ever give the response "Multiple" cause I know a few people that need to be tested for this...

Mostly people who can't read. This is the same here in the US. I was given all the terms of the loan right up front.
Every time I see -Barbie at the end of a post by tomhudson, it makes me wonder if this person's password was 12345.
But that stinks, and puts all kinds of nasty CO2 in the air, maybe a nice communal grave?
That's actually quite good, my 4 cyl. Camry gets 29-33, so your car is not doing to bad considering you would leave me way behind. :)
