    Here in Romania there are plenty ads looking for women-only, it's obvious from the ad itself because we have genre-specific nouns, for example a male clerk is called "vânztor" whereas a female clerk is called "vânztoare". So when the ad says "vânztoare" it's clearly biased. Nobody gives two shits though.

    Same here. And guess what, I use Kaspersky AV and it would be impossible for them to stop me (a private citizen) from using it. Sure, the government can ban the usage of the software in their own apparatus, but not in private homes.

    You're oversimplifying things.
    Indeed, loot boxes are a player problem, but this gets complicated by how these loot boxes are presented and offered.
    The seller (gaming company) uses all the tricks from the book to get players hooked.
    Maybe you're a mental Arnold Schwartzenegger, with amazing resistance to those psychological tricks, congrats if so. However, most people aren't. Even TFS says "implement measures to exclude vulnerable groups" - e.g. children under 13.

    Experts can analyze the loot box mechanics in games and determine whether (and how) addictive they are based on psychological markers. I am not surprised to find out they're highly addictive, on par with nicotine and alcohol.

    Same here, I rarely visit Reddit but when I do, I am looking for specific subjects and my overall experience was positive.
    I would add that Reddit has become so big that it has similar population layout (statistically, socially, etc) as the entire Internet. In other words, it's a representative subset of the Internet.
    So this guy's saying there's no hope for "The Internet".

    Nothing, really.
    The OP made a statement I disagree with, then someone else stated a likely fact based on their name. Does looking at someone's name and inferring ethnicity make someone a bigoted asshole? If so, I apologize, however please tell me why, exactly, would I be a bigoted asshole by saying "X could be Jewish because his name is $Jewish_name".

    Note I never said that EULA is horrible because X and Y are Jewish or anything like that.

    That's because the American Melting Pot works a lot better than the European Immigrant Acceptance ideology or whatever the fuck it's called.
    There's enormous differences between the two. Also, the number of uneducated Syrian, Afghan, Pakistani,etc. immigrants in the USA is orders of magnitude smaller then the European one. You can't compare the two either.

    That's because most of the immigrants are bringing their culture with them, then loudly proclaim it as "the best" and force you to cope with it.
    I have nothing against their culture. However, I have something against them forcing it onto me.

    Most rural areas, except where heavy industries reside; northern populations (Lapland, Iceland, parts of Siberia), lots of insular countries, etc.

  21. Let's say I am an asshole manager calling a member of my team and he never picks up the phone.
    In reality he's on his way to the location but out of signal reach.

    Let's assume I am calling my wife which I know was supposed to drive through a no-signal zone. I call her, get a ring tone, assume she's at home but for some reason can't answer. In reality she had an accident in the no-signal zone. I could have inferred something's wrong by getting a non-reachable tone instead of a ringing tone.

    It all depends on the device being powered.

    My phone, my tablet, my vape, my kids' RC cars, these are the devices I use most often.
    Four flashlights which need batteries to hold charge at maximum for years (they're in emergency packs, hopefully never to be used).
    A couple cameras, one is an older bridge camera taking 4x AAs and the other is a small pocket camera with 2x AA batteries.
    My wife's ancient MP3 player she's fond of, works with 1x AAA battery.
