    How could the MPAA not be aware of this guy copying thousands of their movies? I can't believe his ISP didn't rat him out to the Mafiaa. It's a nice thing he did for the troops. It's a shame the movie industry could not have done the same with their reel to reel tape thingys. Who uses reel to reel? Maybe the mpaa still uses them because their DVD's are too expensive.

    I concede your point but in a closed 2 party system you have to take the lesser of two evils. At this point I haven't been able to decide which of the two is most evil. I've got a strong feeling that this election will be less about each candidates record and more about how much mud the respective PAC's can sling. We're in for a long bumpy ride folks.

    That's a good point. As I recall he is responsible for putting at least 5 MAFIAA lawyers in the department of (un) justice. I wouldn't judge him on his choice of lawyers though. I'm sure Mitt would do the same thing. The problem here is that the government works for corporate interests and not the people. It would be nice to see a nice big fat juicy lawsuit (can you say class action) come out of this. Someone needs to put these asshole Mafiaa lawyers in their place.

    The latest Android has a very stable code and a solid permission system that allows the user to set exactly what an app can or can't do.

    Therein lies your problem....the user. Oh and it doesn't hurt that a large portion of the marketplace is crawling with malware. Google does not do a good enough job of policing the apps and end users can't be relied on to secure their machine.

    We've gone as far as NASA's budget will allow. The fools in congress can debate creationist theory as long as they want (or untill the public decides to chuck them out on their arse) but private funding is pretty much the future of space travel.

Lord knows that I'm not important enough for the government to be interested but people will use this information to make decisions about you without your input. So essentially it's a license to discriminate will with no real oversight. God this country is sliding down hill so fast.

    If you use a bank issued visa/mastercard and the transactions are swiped (credit) instead of via a pin you have the same protections as a regular credit card. Transactions via a pin have limited rights and you may not be reimbursed for the full amount of the fraud. That's why the banks have promotions and special hardware (RFID) at the POS. They want to entice you to use your pin so they can get off cheap. If they spent less time being greedy I'm sure they could impliment a more secure system but I suppose that would not be in their best interest.

    Delaware is the first state (that I'm aware of) to propose off shore wind farms. Of course between the politicians and the special interests we managed to F#$ck it up. It's really a shame because (since I've lived here 10yrs) certain parts of the state have always had energy delivery problems and this project would have done a lot of good. Hopefully Virginia will have more luck with their offshore wind project.

    Well, there's your problem, right there. The overall concept of evolution is no longer a theory. Surely even the staunchest of Creationists must acknowledge the so called "short-term" evolution that gives us the ability to manipulate plants or breed wolves into dogs. Yes, as with most fields, a long time ago there were sets of theories. Like prior to Watson and Crick, back when you had Darwinian Evolution, Larmarckian Evolution, etc. Not anymore though. You might have theories about very specific things in the field that might be impossible to prove -- like, say, what the Last Eukaryotic Common Ancestor (LECA) looked like -- but Evolution is no longer a theory. The field moves forward while Tennessee makes themselves look like idiots from some forgotten era.

    ^^^Needs some mod points^^^^ . I support their willingness to look the fool as long as they don't try to get into politics.

    Sounds like you had a very bad experience. From my perspective as a front line tech speaking to people that are barely literate in computers and have no clue about networking the search works. Asking a person to look for network connections or network and sharing center is painful enough as it is. Trying to get them to navigate to device manager is absolutely impossible. If I can get them to find the start menu the rest is cake. Yes I'm not having them search for anything specialized but the basic function works and since they are already tuned to the search mentality it makes it easy on me.
