Start with the MySQL book. Hopefully you have SOME grasp of general programming (C and such). Then read the combo book. That seems to be what they're designed for. Thats how I'm approaching it and its all working great.
I've been reading about 100 pages a night of this book and its awesome. Personally I'm using it for web applications and if anyone of you are doing the same, also pick up Web Database Applications with PHP & MySQL (ISBN: 0-596-00041-3). Complimenting each other in the very best way.
Every time I read an O'Reilly book it reminds me of why they're the only thing in my book case (of the computer nerdish-tech know how sort).
Awesome stuff.

actually he's not speaking about PVR's.
I'm sure he appreciates the point though. Since you obviously read here a lot.
I really can't understand why anyone would want to: a) use a browser thats sub-par b) use a browser that takes away preferences that are very useful (i'm sure it was an accident that AOL's browser won't block pop-ups unless you're one of us) c) install something on your system that bloats itself into 7 icons on your desktop (duplicates even)
don't get me wrong, i love mozilla (especially chimera), but this is the worst of the mozilla based browsers.
Working for an ISP, Sprint actual confronted our company and asked if we would provide the data services. This is basically a T1 split into 6-8 voice lines and the rest data (emphasis on basically). It is so damn cheap that they wouldn't make money. It would have been nice for consumers but the last thing we need is Sprint to go under;)!
that would never happen right????
Wasn't Pac Man one of the most popular, highest selling games of all times? GPL is one of the most popular, most used licenses of all times eh? Great! Take it as a compliment
iMac is MUCH more capable. Don't look at the Mhz numbers. And yes you could get a Kyro 64MB AGP 4x Pro video card for 85 bucks.
iMac's monitor is very capable. Even though its small its very nice. Not to say it doesn't cost a lot but considering the design and look (yes you pay for the shiny and purty colors) and power of the computer its very worth the cost of it. Especially with the financing Apple offers;) 50 bucks a month will get you a very capable apple....
Maybe we should all shut the hell up until we have *nix benchs to compare x86 and the G3/G4's power. Rant rant rant........
Just wondering if it is feasible to pull off a transfering of DC game to computer via this way. As in setting up a "dial up server" and ftp'ing into it with access to a DC game.
Am I dreaming or is this possible?
As far as I'm concerned this is about the only thing useful about this. Savegames and GD-ROM backup!
I want one of those handy dandy Aiwa car Mp3 players so I can blast The Shizit all around my hood.
2nd in line is an SMP chipset for Durons and Thunderbirds.
Other than that I'd like to get rid of all the Ebay people that bid in the last 2 seconds 25 cents over my bid.
I really don't see the fuss over all this. I mean they could have worked from ANYWHERE programming. I mean isn't the Internet a good enough connection to the "home office" as to stay connected?
Seriously, this was a temporary stay and was known to be a temporary stay. They can't whine now that the time is up because they knew it would happen.
As for Billy boy's fund raising, I didn't know there was any money in silicon valley;)
No mp3s. Bad bad computer. Eating away at profit margin. Destroy Napster.
Hey why are they boo'ing me at the MTV VMA?
......
Either way, if you download an mp3 from an artist its usually to check it out. Not to make duplicates upon duplicates of entire cd's.
Just think back to the last time you went to the music store. All those cd's you don't know what they are, you're not buying them at all. Now if you had a song or 3 from them, maybe you'd purchase some of them.
I just think it puts a lot of pressure on artists to put out good work instead of shoving it as hard as they can down our throats (MTV/Radio).
As opposed to here (View by choice Internet)
I think they kinda missed a couple of people. Like the other million college students which are distributing.
I hope they go for the ones who are distributing the Backstreet Boys first.
then I wouldn't argue
Did they just NOW figure out no one with brains will shell out the 1,000 bucks for ram thats not that big of an improvement over 150 dollar ram?
Its a no value product they just figured out wasn't worth the push. I could have told them that a long time ago.

I'd like to go ahead and buy stock in this adolescent kid.
My god I wish I would have been cranking out stuff like that when I was still in high school.
best of luck kiddo!!!
Someone needs to setup a donation account somewhere so we can donate in Craig's cause.
I know I'd donate. I value my rights enough to drop 50 bucks on it.
i guess thats true. but what happens when the person has problems removing what they don't like on the computer?
another road trip to their casa?
i see your point though. being very capable myself and openly against helping others do this kind of stuff, i never thought about that.

Actually this lets you choose which partition to load. Nothing to do with booting into an OS (directly at least).
Usually the math's will be the problem, trig, pre-calc, calc, calc2, calc based physics, etc. are all usually required.
I'm having the same problem. except I've been doing it since age 12 and I'm only 19.
Until the suits arrive and crush them all with lawsuits like before.
There's no way around it.

my thoughts exactly....
First thing I saw when I opened up the doc was the *autocorrecting spellcheck* for volume licensing.
Supposed to be volume-licensing. It seems even Microsoft ignores its annoying spellchecks.
