Is it just me that often enjoys the story as much as the scenes? Assuming that it's a good story. Though it might be easier to achieve in comic format.
Input devices and GUI's are for pussies, install linux, learn how to use the text terminal and go with programs that can be exclusively controlled by the keyboard.
Finally, we were able to distribute the 55,882,296 cosets of H among a large number of computers at Google and complete the computation in just a few weeks. Google does not release information on their computer systems, but it would take a good desktop PC (Intel Nehalem, four-core, 2.8GHz) 1.1 billion seconds, or about 35 CPU years, to perform this calculation.
http://www.guru-board.com/ An extremely configurable keyboard that's planned to come in Q4 2010. It's got clicky/tactile switches, with/without pointing stick, and possibility to change the hardware layout (and possible to switch between a few) so that eg you can have dvorak without messing up with options on the computer. It's pretty hyped, but if it doesn't come out too expensive I really want one.
That website doesn't say very much unless you cough up money. I'm happy that the only thing it got correct was which city I live in, and some IP adresses. It didn't even get my real name correct! Although it might have helped a bit that I don't live in the states.
I'm checking my gmail account for several times a day, and when people started talking about buzz and gmail I couldn't get it together. Then I rememberd that I got a branded gmail, archlinux.us. I'm just hoping that it isn't allowed even though I ain't seeing it.
I think this is a great idea. If one have a system where you pay a set amount of money for each click on a website one might stop for a split second and think if it's really worth it, and if you can afford it. With this you know you are going to pay a set amount of money each month, so you don't lose anything on pressing a button somewhere.
I got one of these, and I were very surprised that it was covered here!
I certainly don't think the case is very sturdy, a few millimetres plastic was easy to crack, and I've done that. I've got some evil pixels on the screen too after dropping it once.
I got mine with ubuntu, but I managed to thrash X and have not taken my time to fix it, I use it on daily basis exclusively with vim, but being the CLI junky I am I almost like it more that way than with a gui. I carry it around for all my lessons in school and I'm very happy that I bought it.
A little weird thing with it is that the usb ports are upside down, no clue if that's a feature or something stupid =p
A big downside for me was that it is i586, something I didn't think off when buying it, meaning that distros such as Arch Linux won't run on it natively.
To skip the talking and jump right to the "music", go to 11:30.
I understand that mining all the vast quantities of data is wrong ethically, but it can't be illegal, or?
I bet this won't be sent in all countries, will it be possible to view this on the internet somewhere?
Is it bad that I didn't even understand the summary?

Or is that a shitload amount of bugs? Wtf are the devs doing?

The kernel is pure Linux, no GNU involved there. It's the operative system that uses GNU.
So, if I understood this correct, one should stand up while drinking. Cause it's bad to sit down!
That will hopefully do something about all of those that drink and drive!
Does it help curing addiction to slashdot? I want some...

You can change it back easily in ubuntu, although base-10 is the default.
It's no use to have a controller without a console. duh.
Wow, I didn't knew clippy could do password cracking!

Please, please, follow the example of ... ehh ... whomever and give us a linux version!
Don't think it will happen though :(

I wonder if it's gonna be possible to put linux/linux on it. Or I mean, I wonder how long time it will take before somebody releases a howto.
Everybody knows that it's excellent to look at women through thick glasses!
I don't even have a girfriend! How the hell am I supposed to get laid!
