Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they have a "National Holiday" in Japan where people throw away old stuff, simply because it's old, even though it still works? I think this was what they used to fuel the 'full employment' they used to have.
Secondly, about Interestingly, all washing machines contain a balancing component filled with salt water to keep them on an even keel while spinning. This, too, is recovered to prevent it leaking and causing steel to rust before it can be removed.
How come we don't do this here? My machine is awals walkong around the laundry room becaus of uneven loads. Can this be retrofitted?
....this guy must have one hell of a small wanger, if he has to keep spending such ridiculous amount of money on what amounts to little more than creating memories for himself.
Why is it in all these discussions of file-sharing, we only hear of Morpheus, Kazaa, AudioGalaxy, and the late Napster? In the popular media we never hear of WinMX. It's been there for me since Napster shut down, I've never had problems, my son and I can get the files I want(quite different tastes, he's 15 and I'm 46), and quite a lot of people download songs from me. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut and enjoy?
Most TM's start the conversation by asking, "How are you today?" or the equivalent. Since no one I know would talk like this, I always say, "Fine, just fine." Click. That is, I hang up.
Don't know if that lessens the number of calls I get, but it sure is satisfying.
Once again, something happens and we look for simple, immediate answers to complex, long term questions. More legal guns do not automatically mean less crime, just as less leagan guns do not automatically mean more crime. There are many, many factors at play here. These aren't simple questions and there won't be simple answers. When will "western civilization" realize this? Why are we increasingly willing to spend lots of energy and resources to make a rule or law to tell us wht to do or how to think, instead of spening that energy to actually learn how to think?

How 'bout my ex-wife?
Oh c'mon now! Did no one get this?!?!?!?!

No, it creates ATRAC format files to play. Not MP3's. And it's only a onw way transfer, just like the minidisc machines Sony makes.

It wouldn't surprise me if somewhere in the IPOD license agreement it says you can only use it with a computer using the Macintosh Operating System
Is this true?
"I Was A Teenage Sysadmin" What a title for a movie!!! Too bad Michael Landon is dead.
Of course, they DO teach you how to spell.
.....but Rebecca De Mornay still looks good!
Yeah, but it worked, and Lutherans are still here today.

Exactly. Costs way more, takes a lot more time and hassle, and is not a "perfect" copy.
Of course, you could always stomp them to death with that Schwarzzenegger-like leg you'll develop.
Here you are.....

No reason, just because I can.
......right after Apple's GUI division got fired(remember Xerox PARC?)
By Katz's argument McDonald's is better than the 5* Michelin-Approved restaurant down the road...
Not better, more successfull.

Thanks for the info, don't worry, I'll look it up on the Nobel page.
"The whole of my remaining realizable estate shall be dealt with in the following way: the capital, invested in safe securities by my executors,..."
I wonder just what exactly those "safe secutities" are?
The co-op analogy is not right. The farmer doesn't make a perfect copy of someone else's combine, he just gets to use it for a while.

.....and if his wife reads this, he will!!!
