So you are saying that Assange is a dictator????? I was going to give you some references about black girls sitting on the front of a bus when laws said they should sit in the back an other examples of civil disobedience, but lets just say that if Assange did the same thing with China, the same people that condemn him will praise him. It just happened to be the US that got embarrased.

Hardware support is poor, even worse than Linux.

WTF. Linux poor hardware support??? There is no other OS that has all that hardware support. Linux runs on many architectures, and supports a great variety of hardware that no other OS support. A lot of the "drivers" are hacked, but hey I never had a problem with an ethernet cards and i had 3D acceleration when there was none on the mac book pro. Linux have always had better hardware support than mac, mac only supports mac hardware. The biggest problems we had were back in the day of dial up connection and winmodems and when wireless cards started to show up. If there was a Venn diagram about it, the Linux Circle will be at least twice the size of windows, and 10 times the mac circle.

Yeah I was going to make the same comment. Linux and BSD have years of coding. It just doesnt make sense. As far as I know the NSA used linux and that is how SELinux showed up. It is always hard to explain to some people why free software /open source can benefit them.

The whole model of Baidu it is not going to work outside of China, restricted searches, you can pay to rank higher, it doesnt work in other languages, and the search engine sucks. You get a lot of false positives in the related searches in between the Great Firewall of China and Baidu. I think not using google and using baidu cripples more the chinese. Well you keep forgetting that this world is no formed by the US. So what it is good for your national security doesnt mean is good for the rest of the world. In fact we tend to think different from you guys a lot. So when wikileaks is leaking information about Hugo Chavez and Venezuela, for me that i am not Venezuelan or American, is the same as leaking information from a US bombing site. Not all americans thinks like you luckily, and your country sometimes can be very democratic, but you have to forget all those Hollywood movies about Americans saving the day, the world and democracy. So the next time the US gov decides to throw non US citizens in Guantanamo, or bomb my house because someone decided my country support terrorist, we, non US citizens, feel at least that we have someone that can make some noise about the excess or abuse of force, regardless of the US Laws which we are not protected neither did we agree, or know. To be more clear, what it is best for the US government is not the best for the rest of the world.
