  1. The use of layer after layer after layer of software in the form of frameworks that in the end add unnecessary complexity only because the lazy ass "developers" don't want to program anymore, yes the deployment times are shorter with faster-to-production times, but the final product is a bloated freak, there is also an underlying cost ... maintenance, the IT nightmare that means to maintain and stabilize those framework versions and dependent libraries, sometimes the "developers" throw in a framework just to use 2 or 3 features and that has to play nice with the other layer below. Since the Object Oriented Programming lie that promised code re-usability but never truly delivered this has been growing exponentially and now you can find development environments so ridiculously complex that require a complete deploy of a source of 2 million lines of code to write a lame "Hello World", and sometimes even that can have bugs!

  4. You are absolutely right , just the geo-blocks alone are enough reason , I pay Prime but my money is not as good as someone in the US and I can't watch the video content, same money same service I think that is called fair trade. Most of the piracy problem is created by themselves, and it's true that there always be people that pirates for other reasons that could be considered "more illegal" like copying material for sale, but I think piracy overall would be considerably reduced if those restrictions mentioned above are lifted.

I'm from a country that is 90% catholic (I'm atheist by the way) , I received public education that is sponsored by the state, in school and high school we receive a religious education (catholic) and science classes SEPARATED, and I did receive education on the Theory of Evolution by Darwin in science class and The Bible in religion education, they where never mixed or related by any account, and I think that is the point, creationism is not science and evolution is not religion, there is no need to try to mix it.

I think you have one of the most important point here "I find it inexcusable that when you've paid a considerable amount of money for a piece of software that you're being treated like a thief" "The more we decide to burden legitimate users with hassles, the more likely it will be they will turn into pirates, which will result in lost sales." "Copyright protection should act as a deterrent to casual copying, but it shouldn't become a hassle to legitimate users" This is in no way a justification for piracy, but in their blindness the companies usually tax the legitimate user with a burden that makes their experience with the software a hassle. And ultimately their efforts are futile since the software is pirated anyway, but the real loss is for the legitimate buyer that had to go through all the annoyance. Their fight against piracy is completely clueless.
