The Scholarship for Service (SFS) program, jointly run by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the U.S. government is desperate for cybersecurity professionals. The SFS program was designed to increase and strengthen the federal government's core of cybersecurity professionals by underwriting two-year stipends for full-time students who specialize in information assurance at approved four-year colleges and universities in exchange for agreeing to serve at a federal agency in a cybersecurity position for at least two years.
I go to a local non-chain store in suburban D.C near work. They've been in business for a while - at least 10 years IIRC. I'd suggest a place like this where you can build a relationship with the staff.
What are your operational boundaries? Are you restricted to incidents in.mil space? Does AFCYBER monitor and respond to critical infrastructure-related attacks on corporate assets? How does AFCYBER act as a counterpoint to US_CERT?
from what I recall, the WTC was well engineered. The heat retardant on the structural steel was applied badly, and the beyond-tolerance damage of the jumbo jets managed to take out the planned redundancy. I wouldn't put the WTC in this category.
As a vi fanboy, watching someone use emacs is like watching a monkey bang on a randomly remapped keyboard, and having mostly legible stuff appear. It makes sense to them, but they have brain damage.
Back in the day, the best thing I could say for emacs was that you could spawn off a shell and play rogue, but only the emacs command would be shown in a ps.
Everyone has heard this one:
Guy on ground has buddy push barrel of bricks from roof,
while he holds the end of the rope.
Barrel lifts man, cracking his skull as it passes, man's fingers catch in pulley, barrel
hits ground and breaks open.
Man falls down, breaking leg on rising barrel, breaking
back on pile of bricks, then lets go of the rope in pain.
Barrel falls on man.
I would *love* to see Buster confirm or bust that story.
AFAIK, the first modern knifesmith to consistently recreate "damascus" by lamination is a guy from Middletown, Maryland (forgot his name). My uncle, master knifesmith Jack Fuller, has been forging it for at least 15 years. (Fuller's Forge site)
I have to say, even if it's not considered correct by the historians, it is damn good stuff. You can hack through a 2x4, cut a free hanging 1 inch thick rope, and bend it 90 degrees in a vise - in that order - to show the strength, hold on sharpness, and pliability. And the laminated pattern is unbelievable.
Just put three small lights in the center of the rear bumper:
Green - accelerating
Yellow - feet off pedals, engine is dragging
Red - braking (redundant)
Maybe make both yellow turn signals come on for feet off pedals.
...and Skyline Drive will be rename iSky.

I learn best by adapting example code.

The party at Germantown, MD, had 6 people (7 had registered) on Oct. 25 - I (the host) received 6 shirts the afternoon of the 24th.
Atlas Shrugged - 'nuff said.

I hope the lawmakers who agreed with the change get the karma they deserve for screwing everyone.
ah, it's not worth the treble.

a year ago, they set the delivery date as July 2007.

We were seriously bummed at the fog in our area, and I should have had a radio ready for us to listen in.

I'm shocked this wasnt mentioned earlier in the thread. Clancy's books tend to become reality a year or so after they come out.
File a Freedom of Information Act request. See http://foia.state.gov .
Definitely not the same, but you can keep em on their toes.
A King wanted 100 foreskins for his daughter's marriage and David brought 200.
And everyone thought DeNiro was a mean father...
6000 hp! (yes, six thousand) I LOVE it!
You go to get gas, and it communicates with the pump, which calulates the fines, and you get a $472.25 bill. DOH!
That's when I load up the '66 chevy pickup and get the hell away.
