  1. OS/2 !! on Longhorn Server Scrapped · · Score: -1

NT? Hell, there's lots of banks around that are still relying on OS/2 and Win 3.1(1) for mission critical system operations.

But then you have to ask... why?!?!?! Well simply... they work for what they are needed for. Yea, if the bank ABSOLUTLY NEEDED little red boxes with X's in them to close a window... then yea they might think about upgrading to XP. But there's no need for it. They are the best example of the best computing policy ever... "If it's not broken, don't screw with it"

It works for what they need, there is no reason to upgrade to anything more.

  2. Re:thats horrible on State Coalition Approves Internet Sales Tax Plan · · Score: -1

I partly agree. I am pursuaded to buy online because I can see more exactly what my bottom line is going to be.

If I go to an online store and want to buy something for $15, I see shipping is $5... I know I have to pay $20. Not $20 + some odd ammount. It's MUCH easier to keep track of things like what where you don't have to calculate tax on the fly in your head. That's one thing that I REALLY do like about buying online.

Yes, having a bigger selection and convineance is nice... but I think the people making the laws need to realize that there are other reasons people buy online. One of them is being able to see your total so much easier.

    Some people are better at math than others. I'm not. It's much easier for me to add 15 + 5 = 20 than 15 + 5 = N then N * 0.06 = X then N + X = H. Hell, I probably have even that wrong... do you see what I mean now!?!?!

    NO ONLINE TAXES, please.

Well from what I've seen on the news and from logical conclusions... this person seems to someone that is highly trained with a sniper rifle. Most shots have been between 100 and 225 yards. I, could not get clean shots at that range. I'd be lucky to at least hit something the size of a human at that range. Something tells me that this person(s) is/are probably good at hiding and/or not being seen. Also probably good at covering their tracks.

My guess would be someone trained by military (army, marines, cia, kgb, swat, US government, maybe foreign govt.. etc.) or someone that's see WAY too many movies.

I'm not going to stand there, let it ring, hear an answering machine, prepare a message to be left, start leaving the message just to be thrown off by someone picking up. "Sorry man I was just screening my calls" "That's really fu*#$*%^ annoying!!! KNOCK IT OFF! *click*"

They don't? Ever seen the show Cribs on MTV? Ever seen The Osbournes? Ever see Lifestyles of The Rich And Famous? It's an opulant lifestyle some of these artists, that don't get any money, live.

They make a catchy noise and rhyme some words and they can drop $500,000 for just cars, for their long lost cousins, friends, neighbors, mothers dogs trainers, sons classmate..... here I'm buying a used old car for a couple thousand and I'm in debt for the next 3-4 years. I have talent, I have skills... but noones going to pay $20 a copy to watch or hear me do what I do. Mine aren't as valuable. I'm sure if someone followed me around with a MIC and put $10million worth of advertising and a catchy name/title... I'd make some money too.

And what's this bit about "the 43 states"... which 43 are they talking about? Last I checked, there was "the 50 states".

And another thing. (I love this) Possible that maybe sometime maybe soon maybe, they might possibly drop prices by AS MUCH AS $5. (I'll believe it when I see it) That's still a hell of a lot for something that, physically, costs so little. Average cost now is $15-20 per cd. Minus $5 from that and it's still $10-15. Personally, I don't think there should be a cd priced over $10. There was a post on Slashdot a couple of weeks ago, I don't remember who, but said something to the effect of... 'yea, they won't be making billions in profit, but they will still be making millions, they aren't going to be living in the streets anytime soon.'

My point, the example just used a charity as an example. But don't jump to conclusions that all charities are good and that they are just targeting charities. From what I've seen, this works with ANY type of account that might be on Amazon.com. Not just charities.

However, you might have to go all the way to the end and then look back and cover your tracks again. It could have taken another 1700+ days. You don't know.

If you read the site you would see that the next challenge is RC5-72. It is entirely posible that RC5-72 is cracked in 1 week. Might take a year. Maybe 8 years. That's the point of brute force, not to try every combination. But to try every combination till you find the right one.
