Re-read the article. They are saying there is no UNANNOUNCED DRM. All those are DRM and all those were ANNOUNCED. Very quietly, because they know people do not want them, but announced none the less.
They aren't saying there isn't DRM. They are saying they already said there is DRM, in a mixed up lieing type sort of way.
Actually it was 'slashdotted' before it was even posted. Slashdot isn't the only news site, plenty of other places have posted it PLUS the people that subscribe to slashdot can actually see the story 10-20 mins before the average slashdot user can.
Yes the old joke about the server needing one is old and over used. Stop using it! It was funny the first 20 times it was posted, it's not funny anymore.
Oh man, that was soooo funny, the first 20 million times it was posted. You forget that slashdot has subscriptions and people that subscribe can actually see the story before it hits the regular page. It was "slashdotted" before it was even posted.
I don't know about you, but computers have been in cars for quite some time now.
Friend has a Chevy Colorado, has already have a few firmware upgrades done to it. I've seen plenty of ECU's go and have to be replaced. There's only one ECU in the car, if that goes while you are driving... bye bye.
Volume son. There is enough liquid there that a small old cpu like that and some other components are unlikely to actually heat a decent amount of that oil.
Just being exposed to the air and the sides of the tank is plenty enough to cool the oil.
I agree. These people are morons. They are stupid. They are too brainwashed by religion to see the truth. There is no real religion. It's a farse. It's there to make you feel like there's something more, take your money, and for people in high control of it to have control over those that follow them.
So many religions use the shepard and sheep analogy. How ironic they refer to their followers as sheep. And yet, the sheep still continue to attend services and believe their crap.
Microsoft didn't just choose to have their main campus to be "1 Microsoft Way" for no reason. Open source lovers think there are better ways than Microsofts. Microsoft doesn't think that. So if you have to ask....
Big deal. So what. It's just some old dead guy that made a prediction. IT DOESN'T MATTER. So fucking what. Every day there's something about Moore's law... Moore's law this... Moore's law that. Big fucking deal. Just get faster processers and shut the hell up about Moore's law.
but it is particularly frustrating when coming from people in the IT field
If you trace it back, the message you got didn't really come from IT. It's coming from higher up. IT probably doesnt' care, it's the legal team above them that's worried.
Torvald's response came quickly and succinctly. "My main machine these days is a dual 2GHz G5 (aka PowerPC 970) - it's physically a regular Apple Mac, although it obviously only runs Linux, so I don't think you can call it a Mac any more;)" he said.
