The "single payer" you and yours call for eliminates competition...

On the contrary... That is where you are totally wrong. It is the competition, from the people, that's you and me, that can put some honesty into the game. I mean, if you're not interested, fine, but don't blame the institution that actually has the consent of our vote. This ain't like your old home town that still may be influencing your opinion. Here we have a voice. All we have to do is use it, or lose it. I know that I'm the goof, but that doesn't change the facts.

You don't "blame" the Russians for being "top notch". They aren't. They just have a lot of people working at it, and we are just sloppy in the security department, or pretending to be so to create kind of an attractive honeypot. This isn't just another "Red Scare". We are dealing with real sociopaths, and we kinda have to be one to know one. This is today's problem, and solution. And I have to admit, the democrats are better at the game. At least they know the art of subtlety when facing the public. The republicans are laying all their cards on the table face up. But they are both horrible in containment of the war to the war zone.

  19. That's a red herring. Put your vote inside an a blank envelope, inside an envelope with the address and stamp. And at the destination, dump the blanks into a box. Regardless, electronic voting is evil. Paper is the only way.

  20. Pencil marks can be erased. I say black ink pens, no, black magic markers, they're not so sharp where people can hurt themselves or take hostages. I guess that means we need to invent paper with softer edges too. We don't want anybody making shivs.

But let's make one thing perfectly clear, there's an agenda behind the push for this electronic crap, and not just for faster count for the TV news. All the nasty conspiracies are right there at the forefront for all to see, and yet, we are letting it happen. It stinks. Demand paper now. Accept no imitations. Election fraud could hand Trump the presidency and there will be no way to prove it. That is a fact.

There are people (including some I generally respect) who support the police and dislike Black Lives Matter, and there are people who think the police need immediate reform and that certain officers should be convicted and sent to prison for a long time.

To me it's not up to opinion. That latter group needs to go on the "attack". I mean, how bad does it have to get before corrective measures are taken? How many innocents must remain locked up while we wait for the 51% to "discuss" the matter? And most of the time it's the former group that washes them down to the point of meaninglessness. So, as far as I am concerned, let's just create and use the technical means of protecting ourselves. For the phone issue, a panic button to fry the chip is the best way to go. We have to be able to *burn the tapes*, just like they do. Then we don't have to waste time discussing it. Of course, I am fairly certain the sate would prohibit such protective devices in our phones, leaving us holding the bag until we can someday 3D print our own.

  22. Your vote didn't mean squat.

White listing solves the problem. I just downloaded a free, as in beer program from Kaspersky for my phone that does exactly that. Now, what was the issue again? We don't need any laws in this area. And now I can say that outlawing robocalls is a violation is the 1st amendment. The theme here I believe is to turn more people against the uniquely American free speech laws, and really the entire Bill of Rights and beyond. We should be very suspicious of the people behind this. Clinton already wants to turn over Citizens United. It would be a grave mistake to allow a constitutional convention at this time with all these fascists making so much noise. Be afraid, be very afraid. This is taking us into the abyss of tyranny.
