  3. I have an Idea. on Pirate DNS? · · Score: 1

Here it goes... this should be a simple way to set up pirate DNS. First, have the clients programmed with a list of IPs that correspond to certain top level domains. When a domain is enter with that psotfix, the pDNS server is queried and returns an IP. Then the client references the server by that IP. Basically the same as standard DNS, but it would be distributed as the top levels would be on different computers. Everyone could own a top level domain! I think I'll put a more detailed explaination on my website. Anyone interested may e-mail me, and I will tell them when I have a workable protocal. Thanks.

If you need something more complicated open your star suite and use that. If that's not good enough, write your own damned program. *steps off soap box* yes i own windows. No, i don't use it. It is slow. But, it is better supported. But, linux has support of the home brewed kind, because it's ssooo easy to just write a program and run it, with little overhead or training. Get your friends, family, pets, co-workers, postmen, and butlers hooked on it like cheap crack. Thank you for your time. ==It's diet Unix.==

Perhaps you don't. In socialism, the government owns or control certain industries, and not other. Our government does control much of the commerce in the nation to some extent. Healthcare, research, transportation, logging are all examples of industries that the government dictates some form of price control or standardization. Our government is partiallly socialist, our economy mostly capitalist. Your efforts to relate an economic system to a political one shows how little grasp you have on this concept.

Some ppl out there are just plain stupid. First off, we don't need to GPL it, it's not owned(except, perhaps, by god). Secondly, we have just mapped what amino acids they genes create, and in some cases, what the results are. Thirdly, it's in binary notation!! There are two possible combinations of neucleotides in DNA. To create one particular shade of eye color for example, it would take the setting of millions of genetic 'bits'. And the genome doesn't have a key, so to say. Basically, we are in the cockpit, know where the controls are, but none of them are labeled. So, to do anything useful with this, in your basement laboratories or whatever, it would take several million years. Have fun.

Those zealots are what make it a do everything OS(or at least close). When they need something, they program it, then they share it.
